In contrast to Bush, though, LBJ signed in a bunch of civil and social rights laws, to wit: the Voting Rights Act, Civil Rights Act, Medicaid etc. I was amazed and I was able to decide on balance for myself the merits and shortcomings of LBJ's presidency. It really surprises me very little that this Bush guy and his supporters are so insecure that they need a "spin" annex to his library.
