It also should remind all of us that nominees to the Supreme Court are crucial to the preservtion of democracy and individual rights; therefore, the next president will very likely have to fill at least one, if not more, seats on the SCOTUS. If we don't want to see our rights compromised any more than they have been already, we need a progressive in the White House. I am sure Clinton, a former corporate attorney, would be a fine president, but Obama has taught Constitutional law and used his skills to work for the average person. We can only hope that the next president will defend the Constitution and pursue federal criminal charges against any and all of Bush&Co.
