Taxi to the Dark Side director working on Abramoff film.
On Sunday, Alex Gibney won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature for his work directing “Taxi to the Dark Side,” which investigated the Bush administration’s interrogation practices. Gibney’s next project — due out later this year — is a documentary on the Abramoff scandal, including Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) role. “Interestingly enough, not many politicians went on the record,” Gibney sarcastically added.

I was replying to VA assertion that we have HARDLY been living Animal Farm for the past seven years… wasn’t very clear, I know- but my point was that for all the Right Wings insistence that the Left Wing yearns to live in a Soviet State, it is the right wing whose desperate need to CONTROL: history, politics, reproduction, etc. ad nauseam is most like the Stalinist Russia…

But it does provide contracts… contracts that people are willing to bribe elected officials for… and then cover up and then be exposed by a film because their government is too spineless to expose them… and then those people have a trial with a government provided judge and jury… and then those people spend a long time in a government provided orange jump suit…

He didn’t believe in Darwin’s theories, evolutiion, or even the significance of Chromosomes. He succeeded in purging scientific thought throughout the Soviet Union in the 1920’s and 1930’s….setting back advances in genetics, and sending pro-evolution scientists to the Gulag’s.
As a consequence…many drug resistant germs originated in the Soviet Union.

MA: watch out how broad a brush you use there — there’s plenty of us Virginians who are proud of the educational system we offer here in our Commonwealth, notwithstanding that we turn out a few twits every so often like VA Voter.
BTW, VA Voter — how do you like the fact that we’re continuing to turn VA from red to purple, and next to blue this fall by electing a new Senator Warner, giving us both US Senate seats, the governorship, and the state Senate as well?
