So they adopted all these “causes” (guns, God, & Gays) that really don’t have anything to do w/ each other, and called it their “philosophy”, then invited each of these little constituencies into the party. As a result, you had the “new and improved” GOOP of the 1980’s - a bunch of angry white guys united by their rage. And that’s why they’re in so much trouble these days.
