The truth is not that Rumsfeld and Wofowitz were dead wrong. It's that they absolutely knew that Gen. Shinseki was right. They knew that if Iraq was not locked down and secured immediately post-invasion with a large force, a true shock and awe, it would lead to the chaos we have seen. This would ensure the U.S. would be committed far longer than initially promised by top Bush "administration" officials, guaranteeing their defense industry, private contractors, and energy corporation CEO friends continuous fat paychecks. The Democrat Congress is also directly complicit, planning, allowing and enabling this so-called "administration" right from the beginning. Anyone who thinks the Democrats didn't know their true intentions once they stole the office regarding Iraq and the "Patriot Act", is only fooling themselves. The entire American government of the last 8 years has collectively conspired to manipulate public opinion through deception in order to wage a military and economic war on the people of Iraq and America. Shame on them forever.

Bush will get his hundred thousand more troops. He can transfer them from Germany and Japan. All he or Israel has to do to prolong and worsen the war in Iraq is to goad Iran into retaliation by a campaign of air strikes against it. I believe this will happen starting after the party conventions in September. Obama, like Clinton, has voted for every war funding bill. When Bush then sounds an alarm that Iran is attacking our troops, whether true or not, whoever the Democrat nominee may be will have the same excuse as McCain for continuing the Middle East Crusade.

The only nonviolent way I can think of for Americans to avoid this is for voters, in mass numbers, after their primaries, to de-register from the acer travelmate 2300 battery, acer aspire 5510 battery conniving Republican and Democratic parties, stop supporting them with money, refuse to tell pollsters how they are leaning and make clear to these conniving parties that deepening and worsening the war is unacceptable.

Rumsfeld & Wolfowicz were both wrong. After toppling Saddam, we should have installed a pro US strongman who would have been forced cleaned up the mess for us. We could then go from country to country in the Mideast, point out the demise of Saddam, and have them round up the vermin in their countries lest they fall like Saddam before our military might. Not very nice but much more effective…

Comment by Neocon — February 27, 2008 @ 8:18 pm

Chalabi was the man groomed as a “pro US strongman.” That worked out about as well as the Iraqi oil paying for the war.

And of course your entire philosophy is bad. Politely, I will tell you that “the ends justifies the means” is sick. And if you hold the view you express you should seek psychological help.

"Sen. Lindsay Graham said that the United States is “well on our way” to victory in Iraq. Earlier this week, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) claimed that the “war will be over soon.”"

Let me quess: it's all be over in six months.

You know, that miraculous "six months" that has been harped on by the right-whiners ever since the war of occupation started in 2003. "Six months" to the end of the war. "Six months" to a turn around in the violence. "Six months" to a reduction in the troops.

"Six months" forever!

Forgive my ignorance but, who would be charged with arresting Cheney and/or Bush should that actually happen? Would it be the US Marshalls? Secret Service, FBI, local police? Which agency would actually perform the most patriotic act ever performed in the USA? Isn't anyone or any entity with any shred of honor and integrity investigating or at least gathering information on these clowns? Why hasn't the Federal Bureau of INVESTIGATION done anything of worth with regards to enforcing the LAW. Is our entire system of government and its institutions completely corrupt and spineless that nothing can or will be done? I can't understand why practically nothing has been done at all.

I am still pissed about th 9 billion in cash that Bremmer could not
account for. How much of that money went to eather the insugrents
or that Al kada guy. It would also be interesting to see if the cash
Saddem was caught with (several hundred thousand in $100 bills)
was also part of the missing cash. I am sure that when the money left
the FED they had the serial numbers of the money.

Also the real reason that the high number of troops was scoffed was
that they did'nt have that many troops to send to begin with. IMHO

The guy who got his girlfriend a raise and promotion at the world bank is credible? Pond scum my friends pond scum. General Shinseki knew, he was trained and experienced and he said hundres of thousands and these shitbirds thought they knew better. Rumsfeld is in a good place and Wolfoulwitz has been gone from the bank for some time. But hey, you go with the army you've got not the one you want. At least that's how Rumsfeld did it and Lord knows how many men and women he got killed because he just couldn't wait to get to Iraq for the black gold. What a sorry shit. Rumsfeld, Wolfoulwitz, Feith, Rove, Bush, Cheney, every last one of these bottom feeders should be in prison. Blood on your hands people, blood on your hands!!!!

Let's not get confused with what they should have done and the reality today. What we should have done is lead summit conferences with Islamic countries to turn their citizens away from radical violence. What we should have done was work with Afghanistan and Pakistan to improve their economies and help us get bin Laden. What we should have done was not invade Iraq and not occupy it for five years, going on a hundred. What we should have done was impeach Bush, Cheney, and convict Rove and Gonzales and Rice and Wolfowitz and Feith and many in the DOJ. And all of this is only a game to these criminals--a very profitable game. Stories like this only encourage the permanent deployment of our forces in Iraq. I won't pay for it, but your grandchildren will.

I was thinking the same thing. There isn't a single terrorist or terrorist group or even terrorist country (if there is one) that can take my freedom and beliefs away from me. That is why I'll never fear them. George Bush can and has taken freedoms away from us with simply his signature. Bush doesn't love America and Americans. He loves terror and terrorists. It's his only angle to attain and maintain his power.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people seem to think all the ills going on in our country these days are a game.

Proof positive how far we have fallen.

Gee. Thanx for the reminder. There are still a bunch of sick phucks in this country. I just hope we can fix things via our votes. If not? I guess it's torches and pitchforks.
