Rove: ‘I only work for Republicans — and Joe Lieberman.’»

After a speech in Los Angeles this week, former Bush aide Karl Rove was asked if he knew how to get Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton elected president. Rove, who is currently employed by Fox News, replied: “Yes, and I ain’t telling ya. I only work for Republicans — and Joe Lieberman.” In 2006, Rove also offered President Bush’s assistance to help Lieberman get re-elected to the Senate.

Huh. I thought ol’ KKKarl said that he worked for “the American people”….

I guess that means we Democrats aren’t Americans, eh…?

  2. Bobwurst Says:

I’m more than happy to say that kark doesn’t work for me.

  3. Democrat Soldier Says:

    #1 - You’ve got that one right!

Sen. Lieberman is a closeted Republican! Not (quite) the same as Sen. Craig, but Joe does enjoy screwing his constituents by refusing to honor any of his election promises.

Lying = mandatory Repblic’s Party value!

  4. Uncle Ho Says:

proof positive that Rove is a complete amoral party hack.

  5. mongo Says:

‘I only work for Republicans — and Joe Lieberman.’

    Now he’s just repeating himself.

  6. dictatortot Says:

Rove reminds me of Dick Morris–brilliant, but oh so sleazy. Too bad both work for the Dark Side.

  7. hellinabucket Says:

Of course he can’t tell how to get them elected. That would be self incrimination. He won’t tell how Florida and Ohio (and Louisiana) were rigged.

  8. hellinabucket Says:

Dick Morris is disturbing to even watch let alone listen to.

Toe sucker had lost all credibility a long time ago.

  9. Ms_Joanne Says:

Anyone know what old Joe’s approval ratings are in his home state?

And who might be running against him next time?

  10. davemartin7777 Says:

And now he works for Fox News.

No doubt working 12hr days ramping up that Reich-wing/GOP smear machine.

  11. tombaker Says:

If by “work for” you mean “gin up a couple of crooked wins and destroy the party in the process”, then that’s surely what ol’ pigbottom does. Let’s hope that Jello Joe is the only D he ever gets within a mile of.

  12. fletc3her Says:

    So, only for Republicans then.

  13. The Republic of Stupidity Says:

Personally, I’d like to see KKKarl at work… making license plates…

  14. Buckie Boy Says:

You can only hope that this helps sink Traitor Joe on the next election.

  15. PeterW Says:

Of course he can’t tell how to get them elected.

I imagine “THE math” will be somehow involved.

  16. impeachcheneythenbush Says:

Karl really should be reminded of his reassurances to Bush that the Republicans would maintain the majority after the 2006 elections. Whoops! As for Lieberman, the man has no principles or loyalties…other than to Israel of course.

  17. Zimzone Says:

Meanwhile, education dollars are supporting this tadpole to the tune of $30-$40K per speech, but ‘no records’ may exist of content.

Same Shit, Different Day in Bizzaro Bushworld.

    Why does KKKarl hate Americans?

I don’t know about his approval ratings (no doubt pretty high among Republicans in CT) but we are stuck with him until 2012!

“I only work for Republicans — and Joe Lieberman.”

    What’s the difference?

  20. Jeremy in Denver Says:

Yes, Since Lieberman was up for reelection in 2006, and Senate terms are 6 years (supposedly to keep them from having to think Politics as they’re the ‘deliberative body’), then short of a recall, Lieberman is in until 2012.

Any CT residents up for trying to float that recall?

Here’s the latest I could find. His approval ratings are totally being driven by Republicans, not Democrats.

I think it’s a little too early to know who is going to run against him since he was just re-elected.

Conservatives join moderate base to help McCain in Connecticut
    Associated Press

HARTFORD, Conn. - Voters who described themselves as moderate and independent-leaning helped Barack Obama and John McCain secure victories Tuesday in Connecticut, one of 24 Super Tuesday primaries or caucuses nationwide.

That’s something they have in common with Lieberman, the former Democratic standard-bearer. His name hasn’t appeared on a ballot since his independent senate race win last year over Democrat Ned Lamont and Republican Alan Schlesinger, but members of both parties have strong opinions about him.

About three of every four Republicans said they had favorable opinions of Lieberman.

But among Democrats in the exit poll, the split from some of his party’s stalwart members was obvious. Once his party’s vice-presidential nominee, Lieberman received favorable opinions from only one-third of Democrats in Tuesday’s exit polls…..

Note: there are roughly 800K independents, 600K Dems and 400K Rep registered in CT. Primary races are strickly for registered only - no independents can vote

  23. VerbalKint Says:

Joe Lieberman will not run for reelection in 2012.

  24. VerbalKint Says:

Lieberman is truly a coward for not declaring himself a Republican.

  25. sunshineempire Says:

If Democrats win the Virginia Senate Seat and maintain in Louisiana, then Harry Reed should just kick Joe out of the caucus. If he loves all these Republicans so much he should caucus with them. I suspect that if the Republicans were still in the majority he would have.

  26. Xisithrus Says:

Bush ratings are very low, thanks Karl!

  27. Cal Malenky Says:

Karl’s changed from “The Math” to “The Meth”
    Time to Break the Bad.

  28. GSD Says:

Rove’s math worked like a charm in 2006.

  29. eLad in MO Says:

Hey Karl, stating that you help only republicans and Lieberman is redundant and it repeats itself too.

  30. zuch Says:

Who would want “SlimeJob” Rove to advise them?!?!?

Nooooooobody ex-pekkkkts the SSsssspanish Inquisition…. Our chief weapon is surprise…surprise and fear…fear and surprise…. Our two weapons are fear and surprise…and ruthless efficiency…. Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency…and an almost fanatical devotion to … Dubya….”

    Cheers,

  31. Gatsby Says:

We all knew that. LIEberman got reelected by the CT Republicans. They did not bother to support their own candidate. They threw their money behind Weasel Joe.
