All the bile in the political system today is a big reason why the Neocons are taking over. Both Clinton and Obama are light-years better than McCain, but little differences in ideologies and mindset makes shills scream that they’re not going to vote for ‘insert name of candidate here’. Of course, you’re free to vote for and not vote for whoever you want, but this independent looking in sees a simple factor: United You Will Stand, Divided You Will Fall. This is EXACTLY what the Neocons want. They know they can’t stand against the united force of the US population, but if they can keep you all at each others throats, then well, in 2009 when McCain gets sworn in, I’ll shake my head and continue my preparations for leaving the whole arguing lot of ya behind.

PS: THis is not directed to those who accept differences in opinions, but instead, to those who scream “I’m right and anyone who disagrees with me is stupid|insensitive|racist|sexist|a communist|a terrorist lover|a Bush lover|etc!”

You all know who you are.

If Clinton wins Ohio 55/45, she only picks up a net of 18 or so delegates.

If she wins Texas by 52/48 (latest polling average, give or take a percent) she picks up a net 9 delegates.

Even a ‘victory’ would be symbolic in both races, as she isn’t going to significantly dent Obama’s 100+ delegate lead.

Add Pennsylvania in, with a 53/47 split for Clinton, and she picks up 11 more.

She’s toast.

That would be: “… have to get together to listen to themselves and each other, because nobody else is bothering to listen to them….”

Fact. Iran was in a state of war with the Taliban and Al Qaeda when the US invaded. Al Qaeda was fighting Iran at the border and made several suicide bomb attacks inside Iran. Iran was supporting the rebels fighting the Taliban.

Fact. Iran offered to help with fighting Al Qaeda, Bush refused talks

Fact. Iran has arrested Al Qaeda operatives trying to slip from Pakistan ( our supposed friends ) through Iran into Iraq.

Fact. Iran is mostly Shiite, the Taliban and Al Qaeda are Sunni. Both factions have been at each others throats for centuries.

Oh, boo, hoo, hoo…. “Press censorship! Censorship!, I tellya!!!”

Maybe she can go back to gambling the slots in Reno and make her money (or lose it) the red-blooded Amur’kun Way…..

Gigi lies again. How many off-topic posts has she made, cherry-picking the one poll that shows John McCain leading Obama, or showing whatever point she wants to buttress?

Gig claims to be “not much of a poll watcher” because she wants to be like Dumbya, who values ignorance, and she wants to insinuate that liberals ARE “poll watchers” and are therefore weak and incapable of forming their own opinions.

Truth is, Gigi wouldn’t have anything to post if she didn’t get her talking points in her email.

Exactly. I’ve seen several posts on various message boards in recent months written by people from other countries basically saying “WHY are you people letting Bush get away with this and WHY aren’t you doing more to stop him?” — and they have a point, because it can be plausibly argued that silence and passivity in a free country such as ours is supposed to be is equivalent to giving implicit consent and that complacency is complicity. This country was founded on the idea that governmental leaders have a responsibility to the people and should be afraid of the people instead of the other way around — and frankly, I think our Founding Fathers would be both ashamed and disgusted if they could see what we’ve allowed ourselves to become and how much we’ve taken their sacrifices for granted. These were people who, if they had lost their bid for independence, could quite easily been taken back to England to face charges of treason — and who, if they had been convicted, would quite possibly have been subjected to the usual penalty for treason, which was drawing and quartering! Just because some people insist on being like the sheep in George Orwell’s Animal Farm and bleating “Republicans good, Democrats ba-a-a-ad!” doesn’t make that true and doesn’t mean that people have to listen. Just because we’re the most powerful nation on the planet doesn’t necessarily mean that we own the place, that we are entitled to do whatever we want, and that everyone else is irrelevant. Throughout history, there are many examples of nations which have gone down that same path — and every last one of them has in the end lost most of the power and influence they once had (such as the British empire) or been eliminated completely, sometimes violently.
