Well, Clinton is the best GOTV machine the GOP has. Their Neanderthal base has been trained to hate all things Clinton and will turn out to vote against her, as they turned out in Texas and Ohio to ensure that they wouldn’t have to face Obama in the general.

On top of that, she will bring out lots of Republicans that will vote R in every downticket race on the ballot. Possibly even turning control of one or both dell inspiron 8100 battery, dell inspiron 8200 battery houses of congress back over to the Republicans.

I really have no problem with Clinton being POTUS, but I am a realist and the reality is, she will bring the Republicans out in droves.

bilbo, one could also deduce that Clinton isn’t afraid of the Fox machine. Obama was also on Fox. Take the fight to them is a strategy the democrats need to use this time around. Attacking on all fronts. Right out of Rove’s own handbook.
Comment by hellinabucket

I wasn't criticizing her for being on Fox, I was criticizing her for cozying up to Karl Rove, especially since she is starting to act like him.

Fox is probably going to be in a Clinton love fest for a while hoping that will help to get her in as the Democratic candidate. It isn't because they like her, they actually loathe her. It's because they think she is the easiest candidate to beat, and they are right.

Do you love one Democratic candidate and hate the other? To the point that if your favorite doesn’t get the nod, you would vote for McCain, a third party candidate, or stay home in November? Or do you plan to vote for the Democratic candidate no matter who it is?

I’m curious to see how “splintered” we are at this point.

Comment by missmolly — March 5, 2008 @ 12:06 pm

Ok, I'll bite.

Love and hate aren't words I apply to politicians per se, but I would say at this point I strongly like one Democratic candidate and moderately dislike the other. The candidate I like wasn't my first choice in the campaign, but then my first choice didn't have a whelk's chance in a supernova of getting the nod anyhow. And he has a pretty good platform on poverty reduction, trade, energy, and foreign policy - not ideal, but good.

At this point, I'm really not sure what I'll do in November if the candidate I moderately dislike gets the nomination. I really don't like the way she's been running her campaign, I really don't like how connected she is with the Washington machine, and I'm not a huge fan of her husband's foreign policy, particularly in Africa and Indonesia. If she gets the nod, she's going to need to give me a reason to vote for her other than fear of McCain.

Fine, I will quit, but TP is one of the few places on the Net where the reality of this situation is not being discussed. The Bush=McCain theme and how many different ways can we beat that dead horse bit seems rather dry to me, but whatever rows your collective boat.

And yet Bilbo you break your own “talk about the troll not to it” rule with me fairly often.
What is the obsession with Troll designation? What does it mean, what does it matter? You are a smart person, I find your opinions interesting and your writing style enjoyable, what difference does it make we have conflicting opinions? You can’t talk to someone you disagree with? I am not here to disrupt discussion and I often stimulate it by offering a divergent viewpoint.
I don’t get it, have never got it.

That was when I was giving you the benefit of the doubt. Won't happen again. This is the last time I will talk directly to you. The difference is that you are here mostly to disrupt and to push your conservative views even if they are based on lies and fantasies. It's not a matter of differing opinions. It is that you state your views as undisputed facts and rarely back them up with proof, which is what all the other trolls do.

This is what I have been saying about Keltoi for a long time. He is a troll and nothing more. I never could understand it when people here were defending him and saying he wasn’t a troll.

He’s just a little more skilled at pretending to not be a troll than our new resident troll Kay.

Gee? Really? Then why do you feel compelled to reply?

Yer a troll. That's all you've ever been and will ever be. A troll.

Makes me think of Rodney Dangerfield barrelling up to Ted Knight’s little sloop in Caddyshack.

Even the casting works. Rodney as Bush, Ted Knight as McCain…
