Bob Dole: McCain ‘has a temper.’
Former Sen. Bob Dole told CNN’s Larry King last night that John McCain “does have a…I guess you could say temper. But I always sort of rationalized that because the poor guy had been locked up” in a tiny cell for six years. But he said McCain “can control it. It’s not a problem anymore.” Recently, Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) refused to say whether McCain is temperamentally suited to be President.

Well, Dole is correct on one aspect, McCampaign has experience on TORTURE. This is why he didn’t vote for making TORTURE ILLEGAL. He knows how effective it can be on a person’s psyche.

But even if it gets trumpeted from the rooftops, soundbites about his “terrible temper” won’t change any votes. Now, if he happens to go ballistic over some trifle when the cameras are trained on him — THEN you’ve got something.

He’s clearly unfit to serve as President because he’s either willing to continue the demonstrably bad example set by Bush and will destroy the country once and for all, or he’s lying about his Bush love just to pander to conservatives for their votes.

March 6th, 2008 at 2:40 pmSo let me get this right. McBush has a temper because he was tortured during the Vietnam war. And that makes it OK. As far as his being able to “control” it, there are plenty of stories of his temper tantrums in recent years that would prove this to be a lie.
I can hardly wait for the first debate between Obama and McCain. And I really hope that Obama takes the gloves off. I appreciate the fact that he is acting like a gentleman and is not fighting dirty, but he does need to become a little more forceful.
