Today, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) told reporters that indicted Rep. Rick Renzi (R-AZ) “is no longer taking part in his presidential campaign,” but refused to say whether the congressman had “officially stepped down as a campaign co-chair.”

Gee, why not. He’s a patriot and a hero and stuff, and I know that’s true because Johnny McMaverick told me so, and so did the reporters he fed his weiner to.
McCain told reporters in Phoenix on Monday that he didn’t know if Renzi had officially stepped down as a campaign co-chair.
He can’t leave just yet, he has to write down where all the “bodies” are buried in the Arizona desert, so that the remaining staff doesn’t unearth anything unpleasant.
I wonder why it took so long for McCain to do this. After all Renzi was indicted last month. McCain should have either given him the boot as soon as the indictment was handed down, or if he had faith in Renzi’s innocence and chose to stand by him, wait for either conviction or exoneration.
McClone has known for weeks that Renzi was indicted for some pretty serious stuff. He has gone from basically saying he’s staying on, completely unbelievable and not the picture you want to present to the American people, to he’s outta here. Just a small sample of the Vascillation Express.

This just makes him look indecisive.

Maybe that’s what took so long.

March 10th, 2008 at 6:15 pmSo how many criminals does that make now once a part of the McCain campaign? By my count, at least three.
March 10th, 2008 at 7:22 pmWill Chalabi be McCain’s running mate? They seem to have ties and much in common.
