The headline is not quite accurate. It says:

Rove: Bush taught me how to be ‘honest.’

But this is what he actually said:

“George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush are two pretty remarkable men. And I’ve learned a lot from them, learned a lot about life, learned a lot about character, learned a lot about loyalty and trust and honesty and straightforwardness.

Mostly, he’s learned that these tactics aren’t the easiest ones to choose in political knife-fighting, and he’s learned how to avoid these human frailties assiduously when the circumstances might dictate….

You have to be careful in parsing what he says; he doesn’t always outright lie as much as he bends the narrative into something unrecognisable and malign….

Good question Missmolly, can I wipe all the coffee off my screen now.?
