“The maverick” McCain obviously thinks the world evolves around him. Got hubris, John?

Why should Al-Qaeda use money and manpower to blow us up when the Republicans are doing such a great job destroying us from within?

The real truth is however, McCain’s objective of a permanent occupation of Iraq dovetails perfectly with al Qeada’s strategy of bringing down the US by getting it bogged down in futile unwinable military imbroglios just like Iraq. It’s the lesson they learned from how the Afghanistan war helped bring down the Soviet Union.

McCain is without a doubt al Qeada’s preferred candidate.

Contrary to McCain’s claim, the past six-odd years would suggest that the Republicans (although perhaps not McCain himself) would actually be more likely to benefit from this than the Democrats would. Especially if the putative attack occurred within a few weeks or days of the election, it is by no means impossible — in fact, it’s quite likely — that the elections would be postponed allowing Bush to remain in power until an election was held. It’s possible that he might even declare a national emergency, which would permit him if he so chose to declare martial law and suspend most civil liberties. Even if this did not happen, the Republicans have consistently positioned themselves for the past six-odd years as being the party which is “tough on terror” while painting the Democrats as weak — and a sizable number of Americans have been willing to accept that premise without asking many questions in the name of security, even when the administration has compromised their civil liberties and attempted to do end-runs around the Constitution. Depending on the scope of the putative attack, I’m not confident that enough people would be thinking clearly enough to ask critical questions — perhaps the most important of these being, “Since we’ve been told for the past six years that everything the Bush administration has been doing has been for the purpose of keeping us safe, how did someone still manage to attack us?”

And 5) Is bankrupting the United States.

The boy happens to be real, and his “stage name” is Benjamin Nicholas. One of the politicos Big Head DC has learned he’s alleged to have been involved with is the married Sen. Trent Lott, 66, who unexpectedly announced his retirement on Monday. Lott is well-known to have been against a plethora of gay rights issues throughout his terms in Congress. He was also good friends with Sen. Larry Craig throughout his time in Congress.

Nicholas told Big Head DC today via e-mail that he didn’t want to go on the record to talk about his dealings with Lott, because, said Nicholas, “Trent is going through his fair share of scrutiny right now and I don’t want to add to it.” However, e-mail and other records confirm that the two have met on at least two occasions.

“All I can say at this point is no comment,” Nicholas told us. “It’s the professional thing for me to do.”

Sorry McBush, the American public has heard this all before. This dog don’t run any longer.

And Scruggs is also very close to Trent “Hairclub” Lott…
