We’re still working out a few bugs in the new site, but commenting is now back up and functioning. There may still be some hiccups, which we are trying to resolve. Thank you for your patience!
Wahoo, now can I add I would like to see bush's on fire..."Great ball's of fire" like the old Jerry Lee Lewis song...And forget the goodness and gracious part, he has neither...Blessings
on my asrock/conroe comp even this wordpass lameness doesnt show up. it simply yields a blank page. regardless whether i use ie or mozilla or netscape. can u help it?

You may have tried this, but, try logging out (make sure you have your password) then removing the pertinent cookies. Then log back in. It just might help.
You haven't fixed it. Every time I try to post (after not posting for a long time) it says "slow down, you're posting too fast" then it takes me back to where I was before except that it lost the message I typed. So I got smart and started copying the message before posting. I found that if I got the "too fast" message then went right back and posted again, it works.
So, TP, you still have a ways to go to get this working right.
Besides, I'm going to be really pissed if you stop us from posting two comments in a row. The WP does that and it really annoys me.
Every time TP makes changes to the site, it takes at least a few days to fix it. This new look is ok, but it seems like a waste of space to have 1/3 of the page in dark gray.
I agree marie...Maybe if they made the text size just a little bigger, changed the back ground color and forgive me for saying this moved a little to the right it would be better...Blessings
woo hoo!
actually, i've been outside and elsewhere, so didn't know it was down...
i spent my morning time reading yesterday's "welcome to the NEW thinkprogress" comments... realized that most of my comments and opinions were covered there... but i used the FAST thread to do my b!tchin'... sorry...
now that the "formatting buttons" are in place (!!!), the only thing that really bothers me is the top banner... it really does nothing for anything... i can understand the lack of color - so as not to clash/compete with the color coded topics, i presume...
but i think a single image would be best... just the flag, fading into nothing... not sure what that other image is, a fast moving train i'm guessing, but it's just irrelavent and even annoying, 'cause, what is it, and WHY???
about the color, or lack of - maybe just stick with the shades of gray...
that sepia just doesn't look good...
now i'll read what others have to say...
oh - the name and time at top of each thread is way too small...
Don't forget that Sorting by Top Rated does not work, and the little "Most..." Dashboard in the uper right doesn't work correctly. Most Commented shows nothing, for any time frame, and Most Linked shows the same story for all three windows.
They're little things, I know, but why have the feature if it won't work right. You know? Good idea, too. You could even have a list of Most Recommended Comments, too.
katy, that little trick just worked for me. I got the Slow Down message (my first post today), so I hit Refresh and the page loaded and my comment was there. But "Refresh" should be the first thing you try.
TP - where did you hire your programmers? Perhaps you can hire one of the competent programmers who are out of a job because it went to India to solve the myriad of problems you are having with this update.
Posting here is beyond frustrating.
Also, the refresh solution didn't work for me. My post was gone when I got back and didn't post at all.
That time it took three visits to the "you are posting too quickly" page to get my post to go through.
I do have a question TP. Are you going to enforce some time limit on how long it takes between posts? The Washington Post does that and I find it very frustrating. I am a quick thinker and a quick typer. I hate to sit there and wait the requisite number of minutes (I'm still not sure what it is) to have a post go through.
hm. system says i post too quickly. can u help it?

March 15th, 2008 at 5:14 pmWill there be an imbedded stink-bomb function where we can send trolls rotten egg comments?

Problem is, when I go back my post is gone. I hate having to remember to copy the post before hitting the submit button.
