Bush hits new low in CNN poll.

By Matt Corley on Mar 19th, 2008 at 6:40 pm

Bush hits new low in CNN poll.

In a new poll released today for the fifth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, “just 31 percent of Americans said that they “approve of how President Bush is handling his job.” The number is “a new low for Bush in CNN polling” and is 40 points lower than his rating at the start of the Iraq war.” CNN polling director Keating Holland said that Bush’s drop is “almost identical to the drop President Lyndon Johnson faced during the Vietnam War.”

Just who are these brain-dead 31-per centers, anyway?

  2. Nevar says:

It would be fun to know where these 31 percenters reside, wouldn’t it?

I’ll bet at least 29% live someplace where it is very flat.

(The other 2% live in bunkers.)

31%! And McCain is embracing the Bush legacy! Truly shows how one can be blinded by powerful ambition. Offered the “chance” to be POTUS by the neocon devil, he gladly sold his soul for the chance to run.

  6. Tobie Tall says:

Thats nothing compared to Bushes worldwide popularity of 9% including America ( without America thats 7% )

And off in the distance is the end of the world. Although I have never seen an explanation of how the flat earthers explain all that water staying where it is, and not becoming the world’s largest waterfall;.

part of the blame should go to the trolls.

they spam links, but they never make a convincing argument in favor of bush’s policies. perhaps they really don’t support him after all.

in fact it appears they are actually hurting bush.

it casts doubt on so much of their commentary.

how can 31% of the population be so craven, detached, uncaring, unthinking as to approve of that skank.

Plenty of them live in Florida. I see lots of those ridiculous W bumper stickers every day.

I always want to ask them, “Have you no shame?”, but I’m afraid theyd take their SUV/Giant-ass pick up truck and run me off the road.

Or pull a gun out and shoot me.

  17. Nevar says:

    Florida is pretty flat…

  18. Nevar says:

I’m just being facetious. I’ve wandered around Florida a bit, I’ve seen the bumper stickers, and the fear on the driver’s faces as they stare at the Cuban flags flying from the cranes looming over the construction sites….

31% of Americans will always be dumb. They are those who hide behind country, god, and flag. But they really are cowards who don’t serve, have higher divorce rates and teen pregnancy rates, have by far the lowest educational attainment, hate science, and live in fear of the terrorists who couldn’t find their sh!t trailer park, let alone city and state on a map. GiGi and his/her 31% ilk are cowards and scum, simple as that.

That’s why authoritarianism appeals to them. Don’t have to think much — just accept what the Big Daddy Figure tells you.

  22. blue state bob says:

35 – 40% of Americans also don’t believe in evolution. I assume that this 31% is made up of most of the same people. I might have felt sorry for those so stupid, but the damage they have donew to this country will take decades for the rest of us who don’t live in the bible like scared little children to fix, assuming we can at all.

  28. flavorino says:

If 31% of Americans still approve of this lying, imbecilic, sociopathic loon than I’m sorry to say this, but this country is doomed to failure.
They are stupid to figure out what is going on while their country is being stripped of it’s assets on a gargantuan scale.

  29. Krazny says:

I think part of the problem, is the people who still support Bush are the type who won’t admit they made a mistake. They type who would rather lose everything then say “Yeah this isn’t so good”.

    Make that “large part”.

again… just for a second, IMAGINE if this were the results from a roll call vote that WE as natural citizens of this country VOTED ON and that the results mandated the passing of a bill.

    http://ni4d.us <- pass it.

    http://www.youtube.com/gravel2008 <- understand it

    http://youtube.com/user/votenader08 <- enforce it

    Then we’ll be FREE!

How are you so sure the world is round? Where is your proof? Damn scientist try to disprove everything . I’m tired of these damn foreigners brain washing our kids. Get outa our country!

Please remove ‘man’ from your moniker and replace it with ‘pre-hominid’, or better, bipedal. I’m guessing here, anyhow, because you use keyboards, but maybe you type your posts banging it with your head, there is no difference.

Nearly a third are still blissfully ignorant or what’s happened to our country, apparently.

  35. galmud says:

Wonder if the NBC/WSJ poll “very negative” rating will hit 50% before Bush second term of shame is over? currently at 43%.

    http://www.pollingreport.com/BushFav.htm

In comparison Clintons highest “very negative” was 30%, while Bush has been around 30% or more since early 2004. Its been above 30% since summer 2005.

BTW are the 30% who approve of Bush the same 30% who in 2006 approved of Nixon?
