MissMolly, how about we go a step farther and grant citizenship to all the sperm and all the eggs and allow deductions for each one?

Here’s a really novel idea (to goopers), what about teaching people how to PREVENT pregnancy? I think they’re not paying attention to the fact that abstainance only doesn’t work. Just think of all those little clumps of cells and tissues that would no longer be as much a part of our national discussion as they are now. If politicians were REALLY concerned, they would dispense contraceptives for free and not make kids feel stigmatized if they decide to have sex. Not that I am for teenage sex because, often, they don’t fully understand the consequences, but hormones being what they are it’s just plain stupid to think kids are going to abstain until they get married. (And if they do…how many more divorces and single parents would ensue?)

It’s amazing how far just a smidge of common sense might go.
