Former Rove aide Sara Taylor becomes MSNBC pundit.»

Today, MSNBC brought on former White House political director Sara Taylor to talk about how right-wing groups plan to attack Sen. Barak Obama (D-IL) over his former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Taylor was a top aide to Karl Rove and intimately involved in both the U.S. Attorney scandal and the politicization of federal agencies. The White House had originally blocked her from testifying to Congress, which had issued a subpoena for her appearance.

  11. McWars Says:

Actually, Frank, she’s a shrew looking for a part-time “job”, probably for upkeep on her oversized, not-so-green gated enclave.

  12. missmolly Says:

Hmmm… apparently MSNBC recognizes she has a mouth and is capable of speaking. If this is the case, let her testify to Congress before she gets to say anything anywhere else.

    The Swift-Boating of Obama begins:

A mash-up video conflating Obama with the most radical and inflammatory of black radicals and separatists is now being linked by Powerline and Hewitt. No big surprise who is behind it.

Rather the incendiary video — which also includes footage of Malcolm X, the U.S. Olympians who raised their hand in the black power salute and the song “Fight the Power” — is in part the amateur work of Lee Habeeb.

A co-founder and former producer of the Laura Ingraham Show, Habeeb is the director of strategic content at Salem Radio Network, the conservative talk radio powerhouse that airs programs hosted by figures such as Bill Bennett and Hugh Hewitt.

This is typical right wing playbook stuff. Obama’s seriousness about his religion could be seen as appealing to the religious base of the right wing so they need to undermine it at every possibility.

This site sounds like a broken record. Everything’s corrupt. I now see why a majority of Progressives see themselves as mentally unhealthy!!

Republicans see us as “loons” by pointing out the massive corruption within their party. A mindset of accountability, to people like you, is “mentally unhealthy.” And that’s what fuels our tank, to plan and execute the betterment and inclusiveness of our nation; to breed over and over again a healthy debate.

It’s what good American citizens live for.

  21. cerberus Says:

Well, they got half of the word right: “Dit” because Sara Taylor is the quintessential ditz who was used by KKKarl and the Chimp. Someday Sara may find herself being indicted for treason.

  22. McWars Says:

I must confess to something: Obama is my hopium dealer. And I do carry an extra stash if anyone’s high tragically wears off.

  23. VerbalKint Says:

I see… believing in the rule of law is now considered “mentally unhealthy” by the bootlicking right wing authoritarian freak.

  24. cerberus Says:

And it only proves the point that Sara Taylor is “damaged goods” for the rest of her life. No one will touch her EXCEPT the likes of the corrupt Bush propaganda megaphone call Fuchs Snooze.

If Sara Huges is a “republican strategist”, then I’m Santa Claus. It’s clear that Sara and Purino are too young, ignorant, and unsophisticated to even realize that they’re being prostituted by this gang of thugs.

When I see these naive buffoons spewing the talking points and knowing absolutely nothing about government, I can readily see why they were chose. Then the Bush Cabal can feign ignorance, throw their hands up in the air while they throw these kids under the nearest bus, and say “who knew they were so uninformed?”. What baffles me is the willingness of these young morons to be used as a doormat while believing that anything they think or do has any relevance in the real world at all.

Your party has wasted hundreds of billions of dollars, not included future costs, on invading a sovereign nation, making their people bleed, killing and maiming its women and children, killing and maiming 34,000+ of U.S. women and men serving over there. More destruction to come back and haunt us.

And it’s about YOU coming out of this as the oh-so-great optimist?

What possible talent could Sara Taylor bring to the network?

Have her in place to personally discredit McCain rivals and accusations of policy that McCain ties himself to Bush with?

Not sure what Taylor’s credibility for truth is. But maybe she is hired for her loyal lying ability?

Of course the public needs more network news competing liars as sources on TV. Bush has caused a shortage of unscrupulous people by his Adm appointing most of them.

  64. JMOHR Says:

You people just do not get it. The corpocracy controls the airwaves, cable and print media. The Republican sold its soul to these people long ago. The major Democrats were not far behind.

Obama was a breath of fresh air as was Edwards. Edwards has long gone. Just think of an Edwards/Obama ticket. Now we see the hi tech lynching of Obama. I listened to Buchanan talk about how this raises serious questions concerning Obama since he failed to quit the church or make a public statement. The innuendo was there that Obama was not patriotic. God, he failed to wear a lapel pin, he failed to decry his minister although apparently it is alright for the Republicans to support the right wing radio hosts, evangelical loonies and others whose vile speech against blacks, Muslims and liberals created much anger in the first place and defines actual lack of patriotism.

  65. tombaker Says:

Oh I get it JMohr, whose posts I always appreciate.

It was the rise of the “Fat Cats” and “Robber Barons” of the early 20th century that led to so much depravation and loss in that era, culminating in the Great Depression.

In the ’80’s, thanks to the GOP, everyone decided that allowing another hardcore plutocracy to arise would be a good idea again - it wasn’t, and here we are.

Unless we can get the mass of ordinary citizens to give up their idol-worship of the ultra-wealthy, this is where we’ll stay, until another event of Great Depression magnitude forces the change.

  68. Jackie Says:

After see Sara Taylor live on TV and see that not only did she openly lie under oath she was stone out of her mine on drugs yet nothing was said or done. It’s not that often we get to see a druggie act openly on TV. Now we know NBC hires drug addicts and criminals. The good news is she let Americans know the GOP plan of how McCain will get in office with the help of the News Media. The old tricks aren’t needed this time. The Democrats helped by giving the Freshman Senator the top spot. Now as Sara said the Media/Republicans will bring racism and hate back so McCain can win by default. With the help of Nader to bring down the count. Senator Obama was thinking more about himself and power then the United States. He knows he’s not ready but he give a helluva speech. Hillary has released her records which show she has more Foreign experience and McCain doesn’t know who the Shiites, Sunnis or Kurds are. Most Americans don’t vote in a primary but they will vote in the National Election. Republicans know it’s all about the numbers. By spreading hate and racism on National News Stations it will work just as the spread of fear did during 9/11. Americans brought the lies about WMDs, Mushroom Cloud and Iraq Freedom, while all along it was about stealing Iraq oil and the pipeline for Afghanistan oil. Now the US is in a recession and the Cheney mission must be completed to make sure the US goes in to bankruptcy. Our Soldiers have said they don’t believe in Iraq as Cheney clearly tells them and the American people SO What, he doesn’t care. I remember reading the fall of the Rome Empire and now I get to see the fall of the United States of America. I guess dumbing down Americans was the answer to how Bush/Cheney and the Crime Team could commit the perfect crime and clearly get away with it.

It is long past time to boycott MSNBC/NBC–if all of us just stopped watching ANYTHING on that network for the next 2 weeks, their ratings would tumble so badly that their sponsors would begin to question why they advertise on it. We do have the power to stop this nonsense and we should all actively do everything in our power to spread the word that WE the people are no longer going to tolerate it.

Trust me, if you want to really hurt someone you hit them where it hurts the most in their wallet.

Besides, that network is in the race to the bottom. Yeah, I know, Keith, but he isn’t the whole network–he is one hour out of 24 hours.

I really think it is worth the try–we just stop tuning in–the same goes for CNN and the other, GOP-Fox.
