Limbaugh: Obama has ‘disowned his white half.’»

During his show on Friday, Rush Limbaugh insisted that Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) “disowned his white half” by standing by his pastor, Jeremiah Wright:

This is the stuff, this is the part that might bother some of you. It is clear that Senator Obama has disowned his white half. He’s decided he’s got to go all in on the black side.

Limbaugh has a long history of attacking Obama’s race. He said Obama should “renounce” his race and “become white.” Limbaugh has also referred to Obama as “Osama,” and aired a song on his program called “Barack the Magic Negro.”

It’s entirely more plausible that Limbaugh has disowned his human side. Rush’s disjointed ramblings are a blight on the radio waves. This same mental midget called the facial hair on Richardson a foo man chu.

His incindiary remarks aren’t backed by logic or facts but by a continual spiral, always contorting and sounding outraged. He is so cork screwed he himself doesn’t know which way is up.

    That’s funny.

Rush has lost his “patriotic” half (700 lbs), and encourages ELECTION FRAUD and WAR CRIMES.

  10. hellinabucket Says:

DC, welcome. Why is this such a concern? Is it ok to have pastor’s in a politician’s life? Would you feel better if he were to disown this pastor? Would that allow you to listen to the words of Barak Hussein Obama and not the pastor? Is this true for all of the “spiritual guides” that have been brought up in this election on all sides?

Limbaugh, the thread is about Rush’ ignorant statements that hold no baring in truth. Yet you would ignore the blow hard’s stupidity so you can be comforted in your own myopic fear blanket.

Limbaugh is nuts, as usual. Apparently, in his narrow little world, Obama cannot be both black and white — he must choose one or the other. And since he won’t “renounce” his blackness, the only conclusion Limbaugh can draw is that he has “disowned” his whiteness.

Similarly, I conclude that because Limbaugh has embraced his idiocy, he has disowned his intelligence — that is, if he ever had any.

  13. stormkrow Says:

Well, if we won’t disown a pastor who basically makes out every single white American to be racist… How are the majority of white Americans, who are not racist, supposed to take that?

Did you read any of the sermons word for word or are you going to continue parroting what they tell you to? Take this time to go and read word for word exactly what Rev. Wright said; now put it side by side with Oral Roberts, Hagee, Buchanan, Falwell and the entire Catholic church and lo and behold guess who the racist is.

With a grain of salt, and a dose of educated reality: blacks feel disenfranchised by racist whites, who systematically do all they can to keep down blacks.

It hasn’t listened to any of Wright’s sermons all the way through to put his words in context. It and its ilk are not interested in understanding where Wright is coming from. All they are interested in is using some cherry picked words to make Wright out to be a racist. In their feeble brains, that somehow ameliorates their racism.

Actually he said that racism is typical of white people, like his grandmother. I’m sorry, but Obama is a racist, and it’s unfortunate there’s a chance I’ll be forced to vote for him this fall to avoid McCrazy from getting elected. Obama could have handled this situation well, instead he gave the “do as I say not as I do speech”, and refused to acknowledge how racist his church is, and he himself is for choosing and staying with it for over 20 years… If anything defeats him this fall, it will be that obvious act of racism, and the Hopium addicts’ double standard for Obama!

Why on earth do we always look to the south when we are choosing our presidents? The south does not have any credibility when it comes to matters of human dignity or fairness.

So Reverand Wright has a big mouth - so what? You right siders think Bush is religious too, but he isn’t - just a dry drunk trying to fool us all. Jesus would not have invaded another country to enrich ones own friends.

Well, if we won’t disown a pastor who basically makes out every single white American to be racist… How are the majority of white Americans, who are not racist, supposed to take that?

I dunno. Perhaps we could take it by looking deep into our own hearts and minds and trying to determine why — after the post-Katrina failure of FEMA, and the predominance of black victims of predatory lending, and the Jena Six, and the coded diatribes of right-wing commentators like Rush — some black Americans are still feeling themselves under the thumb of racism. Is it just their imagination, or do they still have some legitimate grievances to be aired?

Barack Hussein Obama made the politically correct move for his campaign - to distance himself from a pastor who made inflammatory remarks without condemning the man who made the remarks, while at the same time confronting the issue of race as delicately as possible. I loved his speech and continue to applaud his adept walking of that tightrope.

But that doesn’t make Jeremiah Wright’s sermons any less valid. The legacy of institutionalized racism is still very strong in the United States, and to deny it as something that exists only in history books is simply naive.

  44. cerberus Says:

I hate to inform Mr.Icaredman but this type of religious bigotry and hate-filled commentary about the Bush administration and their “sins” is showing up at every pulpit in this country right now - Catholic, Protestant, and all the rest.

  45. ralph the wonder llama Says:

Actually he said that racism is typical of white people, like his grandmother. I’m sorry, but Obama is a racist,

Actually, Obama said something about his white grandmother that, if stripped of context and interpreted as ungenerously as possible, could sound mildly racist.

If that’s all it takes for you to label someone a “racist” then there must be a sh¡tload of racists in this country, everywhere and of every race.

To me, that broad an application of the term “racist” serves only to render it essentially meaningless.

  46. barfly Says:

  49. cerberus Says:

As they say: “If the show fits…..” and that’s really what this is all about. Bush has never made the case for racial equality in his entire presidency and we all know that if New Orleans was inhabited by upper-class whites, they’d have their government money in hand years ago. The hypocrisy of racial equality is alive and well in this country and has been propagated by the Bush administration at every turn.

What Wright had to say is accurate and did hit a nerve which is why he’s being so villified. What Obama did for us in his historic speech was to attempt to “enlighten” or “teach” us that we can be grown-ups about this and together realize that we have a long way to go toward racial equality in this country.

All of these other bed-wetting babies who are comdemning Wright have said worse (on blogs and in public) than anything he could have said. Hypocritical racist pigs - all of them.

I do, actually. I mean, he has some farfetched scientific opinions - about the origins of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus, for example - but for the most part I find myself in agreement with what he said in those sermons so many righties found “racist.”

And it’s not racist. Racism is a system of institutionalized oppression imposed by a predominant racial or ethnic group on another. Minorities, therefore, cannot be racist.

Same with Beck and the other festering maggots.

Why? Attacking Limbaugh is tantamount to arguing with Manson about humanity. There’s no point. Period. However, if a company loses money based on the “Limbaugh brand,” they will drop him like a radioactive turd. Always, if possible, list a few Limbaugh advertisers with the latest Oxy-fiend outrage, and the companies who subsidize this fascism will perhaps rethink their ad dollars, like Pfizer and Barnes & Noble.

    Those darn black people
    Saturday, March 22, 2008
    – by Dave

It’s one of those things that seems perpetually to mystify Republicans: Why the heck don’t black people vote for them more often?

After all, about 90 percent of the black vote in most presidential elections since the 1960s has favored Democrats, and the prospects of changing that this year are dim to none.

A lot of this, of course, has to do with the paucity of black Republican candidates to begin with. Periodically, the GOP makes a weak stab at changing that, as they did in 2006, when three black Republicans ran for prominent positions in Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

All three, of course, got creamed.

That has a lot to do with the larger underlying reasons: Conservatives have, since the 1870s, demonstrated a palpable animus toward black voters — in the South, they passed Jim Crow laws to keep them from the polls — and with the complete takeover of the Republican Party by conservatives in the 1970s, that has translated into a lopsided Democratic black vote.

Still, Republicans seem perplexed by this. […]

Please provide direct quotes from Rev. Wright where he claims that every single white American is a racist, along with reliable sources. I don’t remember him saying that.

    ________________________________________________

You didn’t answer my question — instead you continue to fling around accusations of racism without any documentation.

I asked you to provide me with a direct quote from Rev. Jeremiah Wright that indicated all white people were racists — your original accusation was that he said that. All you have done is give me the Obama grandmother quote, and you even twisted that around.

But since you are also accusing Obama of being a racist, please provide a quote from him that indicates that. And no, the “typical white person” remark he made about his grandmother doesn’t convince me that he’s a racist (although I admit he could have expressed himself better than he did). Sorry.

Did you ever have an ant infestation in your house, and you spray a long trail of the little buggers, wipe out an entire generation, and then the next day, another long line of them are following the same trail?

That’s what this witless troll is like. Keeps getting banned, keeps trying new screen names, still not making a lick of sense.

The neocons are milking this subject to death…Goes to show just how stupid they view their audience.
Is this ALL there is to find negative on OBAMA????? An action by someone else?
And shame on you Hillary supporters for buying into this. We all need to unite and support the true winner.

So, RHF, what are you going to do when Obama is the candidate? Are you going to vote for McCain? Are you just not going to vote? Because if you do anything to assist in the Republicans having another 4 years to ruin this country just because you can’t vote for Obama you are a bigot, a traitor or both.

Druggie Rush … he’s racist and that not news. The questions is how much longer before he’s out of the air waves?

With the Democrats coming soon to take over Washington, I think he knows his days are numbered.

This troll is the blog equivalent of that beachball.

Hate to disappoint you, but Rush is probably licking his disgusting overfed chops at the thought of a new Democratic administration.

See, Rush isn’t really about policy; he doesn’t give a shit about the federal deficit or abortion or foreign affairs. All he’s interested in is getting dittoheads to tune in to his show. Blaming all the perceived ills of society on Democrats is his stock-in-trade, and it’s been a might tougher to make that argument in this millenium, what with Republics in charge of durn near everything. Not that he hasn’t tried, mind you.

For Rush, Clinton was good for business, and he knows Hillary would be at least as good for business as Bill was. He can’t wait.

Oh, wait — who am I talking to? Of course it’s the best you can do.

Good job. Here’s an ice cream cone.

    No! — don’t! — oh… you got it on your shirt again…

(By the way, how many screen names does that make today?)

Limba is an idiot. He will be sucked in and vanish into a dark hole soon enough. Go peddle your prozac/heroin or whatever is it that you get high on and sleep with a sheep doing the Limba. Don’t worry my dears the dodo heads will move along too once the noise dies down. Yeah, including that fake blondy anorexic bimbo what was her name. Don’t reply I already forgot and want to keep it that way.

  92. Buckie Boy Says:

Limpballs is just showing just how ignorant he is on the subject, but then again, take a good look at his audience, they are not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Just take a look at, “themanisanidiot”, now those are classic 12 year olds play ground posts.

Yeah, but at least he changed his shir…..

aw, man, I told him to wash his hands before he put a new shirt on…

Limbaugh was homegrown by a half wit.

  95. andy phx Says:

I could give a rats ass about anything that comes out of his sewer of a mouth but I have to partially agree with part of his comment. Everyone refers to Barack as an African-American when he is in fact half white. I’m white and Hispanic and I refer to myself as being someone of mixed-race or multi-racial. As most people are in America.
Just because someone is a piece of dog shit trash doesn’t mean they can’t be right sometimes.

  96. Robt Says:

You think Rush is getting council on the black experience from his radio show sidekick Snurdley ?

Besides, Didn’t Rush Limp-paw state unequivically after the ‘06 election thumping that he wasn’t going to ever carry water for the republicans any more? I am sure he did..!

I guess Rush the “piss boy” for them? You remember the piss boy from the movie, History of the World by Mel Brooks.

Rush must be the Republican Piss Boy now.

  97. flavorino Says:

Is that Rush’s true feeling or is it just the hillbilly heroin aka synthetic opiate speaking?

  98. Robt Says:

Has anyone a sense of compassion for Rush?

The poor guy couldn’t get it up. Hadn’t seen it in years because of the lean to over it. So he takes viagra and experiences an erection lasting several hours. The poor man has to take Oxicotin to ease the pain.

It is a little strange that Rush took the viagra with him on a trip with four other men(no females). To a place that is known for young boy prostitution.

    Just a coincidence I’m sure………….

But really, Thank God for gated communities that Rush is forced to live in. At least he is locked in. Wouldn’t want him walking freely in my neighborhood.

  99. elizajane Says:

I use to listen to this idiot ! But the more I did , the more he sounded like a MORON …now I know fore -sure he is ! Stupid is as Stupid does …and he is really S.T.U.P.I.D ! I wish and pray that Mike Mooore would start a Talk Show ! Please everyone Pray for Moore ?
