Ford leaves Fox News.

Former congressman Harold Ford Jr., who is currently the chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council, has left Fox News and “is now a political analyst for NBC News.” Ford, who “had been an analyst for Fox News Channel since March 2007,” made his first appearance on MSNBC last night.

Did Ford see the light, come to his senses? I thought his going to them was a huge mistake, but I was surprised to see him on MSNBC last night; his departure from Faux news is welcome.

  2. rastaman says:

he should have left the DNC and stayed at FOX

  3. NOLIESPLEASE says:

Did he have a chat with Mr. Wallace?

  4. NOLIESPLEASE says:

Or was he getting tired of the BS that Fox was and still is spewing.

  5. Yankeluh says:

To quote our vice president, “SO?”

  6. Badmoodman says:

Before he went to NBC, was he deloused?

    Agreed. Nough said.

  8. NOLIESPLEASE says:

What really bothers me when a Dem gets on Faux News, for some reason they seem to loose their sack inbetween there legs. Yes folks, no sack , no response that challanges the worped thinking of Sean Hannity. I hope someone will blow there stack when being interviewed (interigated)by these hacks. Ford wanted to save his political future.

    Eight years later….Presidential Debates

Mr. Ford, weren’t you a annilist for the propaganda channel back eight years ago? And if so, didn’t you know that Fox was the main propaganda voice for the Republican party? Why did you work there? Was money more important then your reputation?

  9. Frosty Cupcake says:

Not to be a nitpicker, but he’s with the DLC, not the DNC.

  10. Frosty Cupcake says:

    DLC = Republicrats

  11. VerbalKint says:

Screw the DLC. These are the Republican appeasers in the party, the Clinton crew, the people who know how to lose elections.

  12. VerbalKint says:

    #13 DLC = Republicrats

    Exactly.

Wes Clark did a pretty good job over there for a couple of years. He rattled B.O. and Insanity quite often. To quote Bill Clinton: “Wes Clark has a sack full of guts”.

That’s right. They certainly blew 2004, didn’t they?

And they wholeheartedly endorsed the Iraq Invasion in 2003, oppose regulation in industry, eschew any type of economic populism, oppose a single payer health system, endorse Bush’s underfunded No Child Left Behind as well as NAFTA and CAFTA.

    Ford belongs at Fox.

  15. WaltTheMan says:

Why go with a Ford when you could have a Packard Henney Executive. Those cars could take a direct hit from a locomotive and stop the train.

  16. Marie says:

    Speaking of DINOs:
Word is out on the ‘net that Clinton will use any method possible to destroy Obama (Tonya Harding option) — she will sooner see the Democratic party destroyed and give the nation to McCain before she will surrender.
Regardless of how we got here – states disobeying rules, etc. it is all irrelevant now — this is getting serious.

Hillary Clinton may be another Joe Lieberman.

  17. AlphaLiberal says:

I’m sure he’ll serve the Republican agenda well at NBC. After all the DLC electoral strategy is such a winner. Just ask Senator Ford.. er, never mind.

  18. abarts says:

Since MSNBC has become the trash Hillary channel, is there really much difference from FUX?

  19. --Blue Girl says:

I was hopeful for a split second that Ford Motor Company was no longer going to advertise there. THAT would have made a freakin’ difference.

  20. Frosty Cupcake says:

    Marie:

Well, she has no chance in the primaries now, so that’s her only hope.

I knew the Democrats would work hard at blowing another presidential election.

Can he get me number of that blonde chick he met at the Playboy party?

  22. swilliams41 says:

Maybe after Shillary destorys Obama she will destroy the septugenarian Sen. McCain. She can then set her sites on Osama Bin Blahblahblah and Al Queda. Shillary don’t play! Man she scares me…BTW Harold saw the greenbacks not the light, plus Hannity probaly called him the N Word.

Bill O’Reilly telling people to shutup is a debate?

You folks are right on the money. I agree wholeheartedly. The only thing not mentioned is that Bill (and Hillary cheerleading) Clinton is the poster boy of the DLC. DINOs in my book. True corporatists, they are. Vote Obama!

Fox comedy channel has lost one of the best possibilities to have a professional political consultant on board. Now it’s back to send in the clowns. Fox comedy channel your best source for funny stuff.

  26. Kahoneez says:

Look, every ” liberal ” on Fox is either a former disgruntle Dem , ie Morris , the guy with the beard , The blond Powers , all looking as if they are sitting on egg shells and the rest are so diluted and show a lack of partisan , it’s useless watching .
Something bothers me about Ford , too calculating and when Katrina Vanden Heuvel correctly said , the American people want the OCCUPATION to END , Ford jumped into excuse mode ,” it’s more complicated than that ” , no it’s not .We just need a leader to ADMIT it IS an occupation and back up the planes and load them up. But that’ll never happen .

Heh, that was the first thing I thought, too. :)

  28. rf7777 says:

Too much of an ass even for Fox, I see.

  29. notime4lies says:

The former congressman is not exactly my favorite guy but having said that, I can’t help but wonder if Hillary might pick him for v-p if she were to be the nominee.

One thing about Ford, he ain’t no dummy. He likely sees the possibility, even if somewhat improbable. Obama loses, his supporters in an uproar, ergo, Ford to transcend and rescue.

  30. notime4lies says:

“WHAT THE HELL WAS Harold Ford Jr. DOING AT FOX THAT AIDED IN HIS DEFEAT BY OPPONENT Corker-SUCKER IN THE LAST ELECTION? WILL WONDERS NEVER CEASE, DID Roger Ailes USE HIS SERPENT-LIKE TONGUE ON Harold THE SAME WAY Bush DID FOR McPAIN??????”

Trying to make the Clinton-Ford ticket ACCEPTABLE. Let’s not forget, Wes Clark had a run at Fox as well.

  31. backup says:

Harold Ford Jr. is a very sharp guy, but doesn’t this kind of movement happen all the time? Is there some information that makes this story relevant?

  32. jerseyboyblue says:

The little trophy whore left False News? There may be hope for him yet.
