I did a lot of research today on this apparent palgiarism and have submitted my efforts to TP as a propsective post. I hope they run with it–it is actually weirder and ‘bigger’ than I thought. If TP doesn’t go with it then I guess I’ll just drop it in some newer thread comment.

Does the Geneva Convention deal with enemy combatants? Seems to me that going after “terrorists” is a lot different than capturing uniformed fighters. That’s why a new understanding is necessary, correct?

Incorrect. The Geneva conventions deal with everybody. the “enemy combatant” silliness is a rethorical figure invented by Bush to try to evade the reallity of the legal treaties that has signed the USA and that are the law of the USA.

Its a nice speech on the surface. But take a closer a look and you quickly realise hes still just a clueless old fool. Especially on Iraq. McCain might proclaim his disgust for war, but its clear by his grand ambitions and scaremongering he will bring many more.

And he never mentions the Palestine-Israel conflict, which is a huge piece of the Middle East puzzle. Of course that mess is allready beyond repair, and I know what he would say (we must support Israel at all cost blablabla) but still no mention at all implies hes a bigger fool than I thought.

Any criticism of McMaverick will be twisted into a source of sympathy through the media-filter, and weak-willed in-the-middle voters will give him pity votes. The D will be protrayed as mean and unpatriotic (compared to hero-grandpa).

Democracies tend to suck when education is allowed to atrophy to the point it has in contemporary America. Too many dummies kinda spoil the soup.
