Well, in all fairness, the fact that the GOP had to recruit from OUT OF STATE to find someone willing to run against Obama might have had a bit more to do with it than just Keyes’ being a “black candidate”. (It is amazing that the Illinois GOP actually did that after national GOP fits over Hillary’s “carpetbagging” and then failed to grasp the difference between Hillary’s Senate run and Keyes’. The main thing was that Hillary actually ran for the Democratic nomination whereas Keyes was named by Illinois GOP officials without voter input.)

My response is valid. My posts regard the veracity of this story, and I am giving valid reasons to question it. The McCain story and this story show that Amanda consistently reports without getting comment from those she is reporting on. In this situation, the story claims anonymous sources that cannot be verified, and makes assumptions about Condi’s motivations without asking her opinion.
