Can Bush risk such a scenario?

If I were Bush and had done so much harm to our nation I would expect boos and jeers. Game goers please speak your mind and do not simply pay homeage to an institution that Bush has trashed.

I am sure that if Bush was not invited to throw out the first pitch that he would destroy baseball – that’s just the way he and and his goons conduct business.

My feeling is that they should let an Iraq war vet THROW out the first ball, as well. Leave Shrub out of it completely. If he insists on going to the Olympics in China, we could use him as the torch, though.

He had his daddy get him a top spot in a gravy National Guard unit to avoid real combat during a war, then deserted when he couldn’t pass the drug test; had his daddy and his cronies buy numerous businesses and drove them into bankruptcy; served as a part time Governor of a dust bowl of a state and executed more inmates than anyone before him, while allowing the states school system to deteriorate; he stole two presidential elections by disenfranchising minority voters; lied us into an illegal and unneccesary war killing or injuring hundreds of thousands of people; had his VP commit treason by outing a covert CIA agent; bankrupted the US treasury; took a vibrant economy and allowed it to slide into recession TWICE; took decades of foreign good will and caused other countries to despise us; took the first budget surplus in decades and turned it into the largest deficit in this country’s history; more than doubled the national debt; presided over the greatest number of home foreclosures in the country’s history; went on vacation while ignoring warnings that terrorists were about to strike the US; allowed one of America’s oldest and most vibrant cities to remain in chaos and squalor for days while he took another vacation; pardoned someone convicted of obstruction of justice, allowing treason to go unpunished ; stood by while the price of gas almost tripled; cut taxes for multi-billionaires while allowing wounded Iraq veterans to live in squalor in an outdated, run-down and filthy Army hospital: allowed the US military to be decimated to a point where generals admit we could not defend the US if there were to be an attack on this country; wire tapped innocent citizens and lied about it; instituted a wide-spread policy of rendition and torture of POWs; and gutted the Bill of Rights of the Constitution of the US.

Now that’s a record of accomplishment to be proud of.

Oh, I’m sorry; I misunderstood. I thought you wanted Shrub’s achievements….

What destroys whiner’s argument is the fact that it wasn’t Obama (or Hillary) who chose to move Florida’s election ahead of the scheduled slot in defiance of DNC rules and against a DNC direct threat of retaliation if they proceeded. Weirdly enough, it was the Republican controlled state Government who made that choice.

Again, it’s sad the Republicans feel they must interfere with the Democratic Party’s primary.

Finally I find it choicely ironic that whiner won’t address the topic of this thread. Since both formal and informal rules state that thread hijacking is against the ToU, I have flagged all of whiner’s posts on this thread. Unless whiner wants to get banned, it will start posting on topic.
