Wallace is a news “commentator.” How is it that his comments on the workings of politics and war in Iraq have any credibility? He reads news! What bona fides give him the privilege of sounding like an expert on any of this stuff? We are mistaking face time on camera with the idea that this mouthpiece knows something.

Make no mistake, this is a perfect example of the iraqi government not being able to stand up….Basra is supposed to be a model and yet they STILL need our help.

And now apparently the seige is stopping as soon as Sadr makes a vauge statement agreeing to play nice . Reports were that Mailiki was getting his @ss handed to him, so this is probably a way for the tough talking maliki to call off his disastrous campaign while saving face. THere was negotiations going on saturday night, somehow I wonder if maybe just maybe they involved another of our infamous “aid packages” to sadr..

How much longer are we going to keep paying for peace and calling it progress?

Let me recap. Hmmm. First there was a really nasty “you libs are stupider than dirt” troll (probably CT). That one was whisked away. Then there was a sockpuppet troll trying to lure everyone over to a Mr P blog for hits. Whisked. And then, for about three comments, the troll known as The Joker, et al. That one lasted about three minutes. All in all, kudos to the staff at TP. It appears they hired a weekend shift on troll whisking duty.
