Today, President Bush held a press conference in Romania with the country’s president, Traian Basescu. The AP notes that typically, “as a matter of courtesy and protocol, the host decides when such an event is over. But Bush has been known to ignore that practice.” Today, Bush “figured the question-and-answer session was done” and “strolled over to Basescu and asked if he was ready to take a walk by the water.” Basescu “politely” finished the press conference, however, and Bush had to head “back to his podium” until the event was over:
BUSH: Thank you. Thank you very much.
Oh, you want to go over here?
BASESCU: Just a moment.
BUSH: Oh, you got –
BASESCU: Just a moment.
BUSH: He’s not through.
BASESCU: The information I would like to add to refer to two delicate issues, issues that are visible for the Romanian public. …
After the event was really over, the two men strolled by the water.

http://www.dependablerenegade.com/ he is notably, clearly and obviously, smashed on his current favorite pastime, what ever the hell it might be. Considering how red he is, and is supposedly in shape, one might guess demon rum?
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:50 pmI think Bush has always suffered from agoraphobia which is why he does so many stupid things. So awkward!
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:50 pmAmericans must be dying of embarrassment and wanting the ground to open up and swallow them. To see the “leader” of the free world conduct himself repeatedly in this manner is simply appalling. He has no decorum whatsoever let alone manners in the public arena.
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:53 pmPainfully embarrassing…
April 2nd, 2008 at 4:53 pmBush could torch the original Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights on the White House lawn, tell those in Congress to go Cheney themselves, rip the head off of a bunny rabbit and go to war with Iran and Russia and it would STILL not lead to impeachment.

No — Bush’s faux pas here is one that could easily be excused if he was a newly-inaugurated President. But the fact that he can’t (or won’t) follow even the simplest protocol abroad after over seven years in office paints him as either a complete moron or incredibly arrogant (or possibly both). That’s the point being made here.
April 2nd, 2008 at 5:11 pmToo many OB/GYNs aren’t able to practice their… their love with women all across this country.
April 2nd, 2008 at 5:15 pmMiss Molly - Bush is both a moron and incredibly arrogant…a very bad combination in any human being, but especially horrifying in someone who is supposed to be “the most powerful man in the world.” The man cannot even speak proper English, let alone behave himself in a dignified way!
April 2nd, 2008 at 5:18 pmCan’t take Bush anywhere. Blame the bottle [that Bush yearns for] for his stupid behavior.

April 2nd, 2008 at 5:33 pmNobody ever accused Bush of being a sophisticate. He thought the guy was done. The guy spoke up and Bush let him finish. If that’s the most embarrassing thing you can think of, consider allegations of date rape, lying under oath, ransacking the white house and air force one on your way out.
If Bush would have cut off the Romanian President and not let him finish, that would have been a story.
April 2nd, 2008 at 5:35 pm‘Bush is in Romania for the NATO summit, where security officials are on watch for intruders: wild foxes and stray dogs.
While Bush and Basescu met at resort in Neptun, professional hunters scoured nearby forests teeming with foxes.
A local mayor, Traian Cristea, said the foxes often venture onto the roads where Bush’s convoy passed, so hunters were trying to frighten the animals deeper into the woods.’

April 2nd, 2008 at 5:40 pmIronically after Bush arrogantly tried to finish the pressconference Basescu shortly addressed the death of Romanian musician Teo Peter. It’s the same grinning , braying jackass that you Goopers still stupidly support , and whom you yo-yos inevitably excuse-make and apologize for while trying at the same time to compare the ignorant clod with some of history’s greatest and most influential politicians……..

Bush has low approval ratings, not because difficult decisions have taken longer to pay off than expected, but because stupid decisions have had utterly predictable (and predicted) results.
