I think we ought to, in terms of pro-growth packages, I think we ought to, again I repeat, give this one a chance to kick in. The experts tell me that this pro-growth package is going to add some — you know, a percent, percent-and-a-half to the economy here in the latter part of this year.

Bush enough with the experts. We know you paid them off…
Those rebate checks are going to do absolutely zero for the economy.

A real Stimulis Package is called rebuild and repair bridges and highways to avoid a disaster like we had last year. With putting that many men and women to work nationwide, Gee Guess What they will do..??? Spend money uniwill 755-4s4000-s1p1 battery, uniwill un755 battery and boost our sagging economy and possibly save the home they might be losing.

Being a disabled single mom with 2 boy's & receive SS,I used my money to pay my car taxes,I would LOVE to get another Check,I would use it to get some much needed Dental work done seeing that NO Dentist are willing to take Medicare/Medicade,then U have Dentists who ONLY take "Real Ins",or the other Dentists only take Cash/Credit,and when your paying Cash & want to keep your teeth you can pay around 1,200.00 to get it repaired or 600.00 to have it pulled,I didn't have 1,200.00 so I had it pulled.A few years latter Aspen Dental came to town & they only charge 2oo.oo to pull a tooth.
It's SO SAD the Health Care or lack of it in Conn. I feel Very Embarrassed that this is my option,I Liked My Teeth & I feel a sense of Shame loosing teeth after years of being able to see a Dentist when I needed too & treated with Respect, when I had Real Ins.
One of my teeth not only broke after I had that done some years ago & it's slowly starting to break off the rest of the way now & I'm Scared & a Phobia of Dentists after being treated Not So Nice and almost went into shock in his office,my teeth Hurt So MUCH it's hard to eat & just thinking of what needs to be done makes me Scared,it doesn't help all the abuse A good part of my life and from different ppl,but it has to get done or there will be little I can eat.
I even wrote & asked Dentists if they would help me & if I could work in trade and a payment plan,or donate time to non-profit & Not ONE took up my offer or even bothered to write me back which made Me Sad and wonder if Caring ppl are out there anymore,I think they do but it's finding them that's the hard part...

wah wah wah!!!!! get over it. Bush is not the problem. Instead of complaining about every little thing you shouldnt have been racking up all this debt.

People who are sick and dying should be the ones complaining

Rebates Could Stave Off Long Recession
http://money.cnn.com/2008/02/08/pf/taxes/rebates_what_you_need_to_know/index.htm?postversion=2008020817
"Your rebate is a one-time tax cut - an advance on a credit you'll receive on your 2008 return.
It's based on your 2007 income initially. If it turns out that your 2008 income and number of children would have qualified you for a larger rebate than the one you received, you'll be sent the difference. If it turns out your 2008 income was lower than in 2007 and you should have gotten a lower rebate, you get to keep the difference."
This is another borrow and spend scheme from the Bush Admin. Now they are borrowing tax refunds from next year to prevent a collapse this year while they can't shift the blame. Next year when tax refunds produce no stimulus, because they aren't there, they will blame Obama or Hillary for it.

Hold your money now, and spend it next Spring! Bless all that can't wait until then. Do what you got to do.

I also look forward to seeing Bush standing before an International Court. It's one part of salvaging America's prestige in the world's eye.
I also wonder about the 28% that still support the smirking baboon, despite previously having mouths like alligators not so many are talking now, except on TV.
Obviously those Morons will vote for McCrazy and continue to torpedo America in favor of their twisted ideology.
Interesting to try to spot the straw that will break the camel's back and cause things to fall like dominoes: the click, click click, click, click of Karma approaching.

Maybe they will try that scam.

I find it Ironic when this supply-side administration believes that stimulus can best be attained by putting cash into the hands of the great unwashed.

I mean, this couldn't be a 'bread and circuses' move. That'd be cynical...

The Republican elite do not believe in helping people. They believe in helping the corporate structure, wealthy families and the political elite of their own party. The Republican elite have been upset ever since FDR put an end to the corpocracy of the Golden Age. They were appalled by the success of the US in the aftermath after WWII. They were appalled since they failed to receive their fair share. The same was true during the sixties and seventies until the full impact of the Vietnam War was felt on the economy.

The Republican elite believes that only a small portion of the country deserves to have a political voice or a share of the pie from this economy. The social safety net, education and health programs drain "their" money into the hands of the undeserving and unwashed.

The Republican elite was able to use the success of the New Deal, GI Bill and Great Society to divert the attention of a large portion of the population from the real threat to their well being and best interests. It is easy to see those on welfare as cheats when most can find a job easily and live in comfort as has been the case since WWII. It is easy to use morality as a wedge issue when most have a job, a home and decent standard of living.

It is easy to undermine US wages by permitting the large corporations to import cheap and illegal labor with impunity. It is easy to scapegoat liberals as conservative policies hide the vast corporate welfare system (to help create more jobs) and the phantom costs of tort abuse, unions and other progressive policies as the massive redistribution of wealth begins. It is easy to pander to the masses with cheap, imported goods from China while they do not realize that it will destroy the industrial manufacturing base of the country and endanger their own long term job security. It is easy to undermine educational benefits for those displaced by foreign labor or the young who can no longer afford college by discussing the need for fiscal austerity.

Wake up Republican sheep. You are expendable. You do not count. You are an excess resource and the Republican elite want you to disappear. You will die in your hovels of old age without an adequate retirement income.

You will watch your children die from lack of health care. You will watch you husband or wife suffer and forgo a quality life because you will not be able to afford decent care under the "competitive" system established by the Republicans. Think of how you will be used by the great insurance corporations when your employer no longer bargains, when there are no state or federal regulations requiring minimum coverage and when you join some rinky dink pool to bargain with nationwide giants.

However, Republican sheep, you will watch your daughters become pregnant without access to contraception or abortion. You will watch them live in despair in communities that have the greatest rate of unwed mothers, teenage pregnancy, divorce, broken family and abuse. How do I know, Republican sheep? Because that has been the record of every Red state in the country. You become what your masters want you to be, self loathing, sick slaves.

Bush will watch as the Republican sheep spend their measly $600 - $1200 to pay a credit card bill or make a mortgage payment and then vote Republican in the fall. Hope you love it little sheep. The Republican elite got one thing right. You are stupid, inferior beings who will bury into your master's BS and destroy the country.
