Matthews: ‘I was very dissatisfied’ by Petraeus’ testimony.

During an interview with Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA) this evening, MSNBC host Chris Matthews said of today’s Petraeus/Crocker hearings: “I didn’t get anything out of it, except that we’re staying there indefinitely. There is no condition we can point to. Petraeus and Crocker never told us what to look for so we could know when we’re getting close to the end of the tunnel. I was very dissatisfied by the hearings.” Watch it:

Not being able to find a "condition" is the same idea the oil companies are using. Snow storm? Gas/oil goes up. Windy in Nevada? Gas/oil goes up. A perfectly beautiful day? Gas/oil goes up.

There are no definite conditions because the Oil Maggots (the Bush Regime) want it that way.

Matthew's opinion carries about as much weight as the babbling idiot drunk sitting in the local bar.
    Worthless waste of time.

  3. raynman Says:

Unless you're named McCain, Matthews is always going to be dissatisfied.

He also ended his broadcast tonight espousing his always and ongoing love for McCain (love being his word).

    Ick.

    Simply ick.

Uh, these are the same answers we've been getting for several years now. The answers are disappointing, but that should hardly be any type of surprise. I guess I would ask Chris Matthews why he expected anything different.

As the years, years now, go by I am often struck by how much more terribly the war is going than even my most pessimistic projections from before the war. I feel much the same about the economy. Bush always seems to find a way to take a bad situation and just make it a little bit worse.

  7. pete Says:

Ah Tweety. When you aren't shilling for McPander Bear, you're just a tool. But hey! Thanx for playing. You win no prize.

Much worse I should think. In fact, "The Decider" seems to have an unerring knack for making the worst possible decision in any given situation. I swear he would prescribe blood-letting for a lacerated artery.

"Worthless waste of time." Yes, to us. However he has a huge trumpet to reach a large audience of people who don't give "politics" much thought. When you are ignorant of reality, how do you know who is speaking the truth? Result? These "Worthless wasters of time" are listened to, believed and revered, causing a lot of grief.

We can vote politicians out of office, but not out of private media companies.

  10. Jim Says:

If Matthews gets his way, his preferred candidate, John McCain, will be elected president, and then he'll get to be "very dissatisfied" with Congressional hearings for at least another four years. Matthews's stupidity on this issue--and on every other issue--knows no bounds.

For those who missed todays trollfest, it seems that the stakes are going up. Multiple threats of violence, porn links and plenty of other despicable shenanigans. I strongly urge you all to be VERY selective about links from "non-regulars". There's no telling what kind of infections the punks might try to unleash.

    G'night good people.
    You too trolls.

"Jim Webb ... short list ... cool prez ..."

    I second dat!

Also: Tweety is a fascinating, quirky, adorable character, a historian-journalist-newsman-sage, beloved by most, envied by lots, quoted in great books of journalism and American politics, revered in circles where men and women breathe "rarified air"...and he will be remembered that way in far future generations, like Samuel Clemens or Edward R. Murrow!

He thinks. (You can TELL he thinks this.)

I want Phil Donahue's appearance in my video to have been productive so I am really trying to get this video maximum exposure.

Bush/McCain/Petraeus/Crocker/Cheney plan is to stay in Iraq for a very long time, they will sell or remortgage the FARM to stay there for no reason at all, not to mention the fact that
we are not wanted there in the first place. These guys will never give up a fight they can`t win. This administration does not represent "Democracy in any way, shape or form" compared to the democracy we were taught in school and practiced by our founding fathers.Bring our soldiers home.

  20. sacopenapa Says:

Off course Pertraeus was going to deliver same of the same... nothing changed in Iraq. Mission was never acomplished and it never will. It is still a country occupied by an international agressor, the US. I find amazing the fact that today they speak of Iraq as being a front of international terrorism... specially knowing that there was no Al-Queida/Iraq connection before the illegal invasion. Now they call the iraqui people who are rightly and legitimaly fighting against the criminal occupier/invader, as 'terrorists'. It is easy to dehumanize the iraqui poeple! What I'll never forget is the TERROR of WHITE PHOSPHORUS used against the civilian population in Fahlujah, the war crimes in Haditta, the BlackWater civilian killings. I'll never forget that because this way I can figure out who are the actual TERRORISTS!

  21. Freedom Rebel Says:

Keith spoke with former Director of the NSA retired Lt. General William Odom, who says that Petraeus & Crocker’s testimony did little more than confirm what he has believed all along — that the situation in Iraq is actually worse than is being reported. Odom praised members of the Senate who finally pushed back hard against the Bush/McCain surge propaganda, but scorned the media for failing to report the realities in Iraq.

Odom:”The major media in this country have also, I think, failed to report a lot about what’s going in Iraq. True, there have been drops in violence, but they didn’t look at what the consequences of that were, and they didn’t look at the politics of that. If they had looked at the politics they’d see more fragmentation, a weaker government and a much more hopeless situation than a year ago.”

Chris you are part of the Media Problem, not part of the solution. Does anyone really care if your dissatified or not? I certainly don't, you will spin it to suit your agenda for Bush & Company away.

Tweety is a fool but unlike the newsreaders filling in between prescription drug commercials on the networks who do damage daily by failing to cover the news, I wouldn't get too worked up over his "huge trumpet". His ratings are nothing to write home about and as the lead in to Countdown he probably has a number of viewers heckling at least in the last quarter hour.
