Fox’s Luntz retaliates against Cheney critic by pretending to give out his social security number

Last night, Fox’s Sean Hannity cut away from a focus group discussing the Democratic presidential debate to show Vice President Dick Cheney’s speech to the Radio and Television Correspondents dinner. After, when Luntz asked the group — rather harshly — if they agreed that Cheney had a good sense of humor, one man called Cheney “a clown.” Luntz demanded to know who said it, and then pretended to give out the man’s social security number, as if in retaliation for criticizing the vice president. Watch it:

It’s surprising that Hannity would cut away from discussion of the Democratic debate, considering he played such a central role in developing the questions.

    Cheney is sideshow bob

Its somewhat telling that in retaliation for a perceived slight against Cheney, he resorts to personal attacks and threats againsts a person’s financial security.

If he gave away MY SSN, I’d sue his ass, Fox’s ass, and the donkeys they rode in on.

Shayne, got a silver ring and slingshot?

I don’t find anything funny about a mass murderer. What i will find humurous is when Dick Cheney is held in a secret prison that he authorized and then tortured using methods authorized under the administration in which he has undoubtedly been the lead instigator. For the one million Iraqis killed for his oil war, we must take Cheney down.

  8. RUCerious says:

He thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts

Bet the guy who spoke up was real quiet after that.

    Right on there.
    So would I.
    I would sue them penniless.
Right after I got over the urge to beat the living crap out out of Luntz, that is.

I realize this was all meant to be humor, but seeing as how one man in Colorado was actually arrested for telling Cheney what he thought of the Iraq war (even though the charges were later dropped), there’s enough possible truth in the scenario that I’m not laughing. Maybe after Cheney’s been out of office for awhile and our nation is on the road to recovery from the past two terms.

Wayne, see post #30 in the link:

So, you didn’t flag him for the post on that thread, posted today. but for something he posted 10 days ago on a different thread?

Sorry, but that makes as much sense as a screen door on a submarine, Fred.

Fred, you are abusing the privilege of the abuse button.

    Of Luntz we know this:

    His address
His vehicle type, make & model, his plate number
and most important…his movements (including bowel)….
all of this information available for a price

Note also that the crawl alerts us to critical information: VT indicates it is willing to negotiate with terrorists:)

So, a reporter for Fox Snooze, the fluffer for the right, reacts to a critic of Cheney, and reacts by threatening, albeit as a joke, to announce his SSN.

    Interesting.

Kind of gives an insight as to the policies of this administration, and to the lengths Fox Snooze will go to fluff them.
I, for one, find no humor in this video, but alas, I also find no significance in asking presidential candidates about lapel pins, either.

Are we to expect anything more from Faux nes?

OT: Just heard tis great idea from a caller on Thom Hartman:

Why don’t we wear a constitutional pin in place of a flag pin?

  18. Fred says:

Whatever Wayne if you think posing as a progressive and posting that Israel is a terrorist nation ok then you do what you want. I flagged him and I don’t need your input.

If it wasn’t said. If it wasn’t real. If it wasn’t serious. If people didn’t die, I would equal Chenney to a ‘clown’ too! But the reality of having a WAR CRIMINAL who does not care about its own people echoes SADDAM HUSSEIN’s killings of its own people. The WAR CRIMINAL summed up all in one single word: “SO?”. So, I hope the USA one day joins the world community’s call for his INDICTMENT, IMPRISON, and hopefully hanging for WAR CRIMES, CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY, and CRIMES OF AGRESSION. If not, I hope Chenney gets cancer and slowly suffers with it!

It is 4 am here in Sydney… I meant “If it wasn’t sad!” sorry my spelling!

  22. lokidog says:

    What a stupid question, though:

Does Cheney have a sense of humor?

    Of F***ING COURSE he does.

He’s been laughing at the American public (and all the way to the bank) for at LEAST the last 8 years.

Well the way Israel has treated the Palistinians, basically the way the Nazis treated them, I happened to have agreed with his post, so flag me too for not agreeing with you, dim wit.

  24. Buckie Boy says:

He’s a five deferments war criminal clown.

  25. Fred says:

Wayne, you’re gonna have to play this game by yourself. I’m not the least interested. You asked me why and I politly explained it to you. Keep your personal attacks in reserve for someone who deserves it.

  26. Keith H. says:

What the heck happened to karma when it comes to Cheney ?

  27. Wayne says:

Yeah, you are right Fred, you are just too fookin stupid to respond to. Reminds me of your attacks towards me because you were too stupid to understand what you read.

There is a personal attack for you. Moron.

  28. StratRat says:

We mustn’t bother Cheney. He is far too important (in his own mind) to care about the great unwashed masses (us). It doesn’t matter that we are his bosses, it doesn’t matter that we pay his salary, it doesn’t matter that we afford him his luxury lifestyle, it doesn’t matter that he is a 5 time avoider of doing what his country asked of him. It is all about Cheney – all the time. He is the poster child for what is wrong with this country. And why would a journalist(?) feel the need to retaliate for a slight on Cheney?

  29. L. Hussein Annie says:

Har har har. That’s freaking HILARIOUS.

    NOT.

It’s too GD close to being true.

Luntz is a corporate and political consultant and a pollster. No journalist. Here’s an example of his mindset:

“In a January 9, 2007, interview on Fresh Air with Terry Gross, Luntz redefined the term “Orwellian”in a positive sense, saying that if one reads Orwell’s Essay On Language (presumably referring to Politics and the English Language), “To be ‘Orwellian’ is to speak with absolute clarity, to be succinct, to explain what the event is, to talk about what triggers something happening…and to do so without any pejorative whatsoever.”

  31. williamf says:

Cheney is a loose cannon as far as the Constitution is concerned. In addition, he lives a secret life and any of his publice doings are kept secret when they can be. He could have been set back on his heels for what he’s done with torture and who knows what else, if a special prosecutor had been assigned to look into his actions. Not only that, Cheney was fortunate that the Congress is shit. The Congress of “the People” has absolutely rolled over and played dead.
