If you both (Republic and Shane) had the slightest bit of intelligence, you both would be pleased to hear the question, because it gave Sen. Obama a chance to show that he is looking to the best and most innovative minds in order to solve our problems, without regard to what the person did 40 years ago.

But the two of you are both too stupid to look at the real issues and instead you play right into Hannity. Hannity should put both of you on his payroll, since you are doing EXACTLY what he wants you to do.

Demeans others while demanding respect.

Relishes in earning money for disrupting democracy.

Gosh! I have never watched fox news I have read enough of their junk here on the internet. Come to think of it I really don’t watch much network or cable news. I kind of find them … well full of s–t. Beyond that by the time I get home to watch this stuff it’s old news and therefore irrelevant. This is less than important. People want to hear about policy changes that will be coming when the Whitehouse has been vacated of the rot that infests it today.

ABC News just lost a lot of its glimmer in my eyes. What a waste of time! And, asking that question from Hannity? How could George be so stupid? I have no problem if it was a relavent question, but that? I’ve watched “World News” for years and I’m terribly disappointed in what I saw the other night. Our news media takes another jolt to the stomach. We are rapidly becoming a 24-hour joke. What we dwell on is moronic. This is what we decide to give to the voting public?
These are the issues we spend our 22 minutes a night on during the national news or 45 minutes in a debate? This is what Obama was talking about. If you don’t ask about the real issues that worry small town (or any town) America, then the only things they have to base their votes on are whether or not a candidate is for or against guns, abortion, same sex marriage, etc. What else do they have? Debates aren’t giving them any substance! Shame on every one of these debates. ABC, CNN, FOX. They have been worthless. A pox on all their houses! Bring back the League of Women Voters. They knew how to produce a debate.

To find any good in these types of questions, one would have to assume that they are ONLY questions. They are not. They are suggestive STATEMENTS and therein lies the bias, disinformation, and unfairness.

For example, I could ask Mr. McCain: “Sir, do you regret your traitorous behavior in denouncing your country while a prisoner of the Viet Cong?” Mr. McCain could provide a coherent, even debunking, response to the question. However, the underlying notion that “McCain is a traitor” is a horse already out of the barn.

When McCain goes up against Obama, it will be a landslide, despite that the RNC will throw mudballs, dredge the gutters for innuendoes,and emply the swiftboaters. Okay, I see your point, and it is a valid one. And one of Obama’s skills is his ability to turn “gotcha” questions into opportunity. But I don’t think the braindead soundbite media will cooperate. Obama can talk pedagogy all he wants, but all that’ll get filtered to most audiences is the fact that he once borrowed a cup of sugar from a neighbor who bombed something.
