Party? What could possibly be wrong with Grand or Old in the South? Was the past not completely pleasant?

I’m 73 years old and know that the Republican party once known as the Dixiecrats only use black folks as objects to “run against”. Somehow each and every election year they trot out the same lies of “reaching out” and appear surprised when they get the same results.

Next time hold a rally at a homeless shelter, where both black and white families, have had to go to , cause their homes have been foreclosed on…Oh, thats right, they don’t need a bailout. Only Bear Stearns and the Gang do.

According to you, they should have bought a cheaper home, or none at all.

I truly believe that progressive Christians have been silent too long, because of their tolerant ideology, which has allowed the Christian Pharisees to hijack our religion and our country. It’s high time for that to end. Non-believers need to see that many of us Christians are not brain-dead, goose-stepping oppressors and bigots.

McCain isn’t trying to woo African-American voters. He is playing a little charade in order to convince independent moderate white voters that he is not a typical racist Republican.

Black people understand this, as they are keen to such deception by bigots, having seen it all their lives.

They won’t go to his rallies, because they don’t want to be used as photo ops for his propaganda parade.

1) You know I, and my wife, are Christians.
2) Therefore, you know that we believe in Christ, which is the way to God.
3) You profess to be a Christian, yet throw down judgment rather harshly to those you oppose, even if they are of the same religion.
4) I will pray that eventually, you will see the Truth (Jesus), not the Lie (bearing false witness).

McCain’s attempting to woo non-white voters from a position of general cluelessness kind of reminds me of the 1980 debate between Reagan and Carter during the presidential campaign that year. Anyone remember this exchange?
