McCain frequently used wife’s jet for little cost.

Last year, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) backed legislation requiring presidential candidates to pay the actual cost of flying on corporate jets. He also promised not to use his wife’s personal wealth for his presidential nomination. Yet The New York Times is reporting that McCain repeatedly used Cindy McCain’s corporate jet at very little cost to his campaign:

But over a seven-month period beginning last summer, Mr. McCain’s cash-short campaign gave itself an advantage by using a corporate jet owned by a company headed by his wife, Cindy McCain, according to public records. For five of those months, the plane was used almost exclusively for campaign-related purposes, those records show.

Mr. McCain’s campaign paid a total of $241,149 for the use of that plane from last August through February, records show. That amount is approximately the cost of chartering a similar jet for a month or two, according to industry estimates.

I’m not a fan of McCain (should be very obvious) but I’d like to see a link to where he promised not to use his wife’s money. Otherwise, as bad as this seems, it doesn’t hold up. Again, I’m not defending this, just wanting the link.

    Go Obama!!!!

His campaign has said, “McCain is abiding by a pledge to stay off corporate jets.”

Caulk up another lie to add to his collection. If we all received just a nickel for every lie. We could all retire tomorrow.

Some Unreported news provided by Frank Rich:

    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/27/opinion/27rich.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin

    referring to the Pensylvania primary…

“….few noticed that on this same day in Pennsylvania, 27 percent of Republican primary voters didn’t just tell pollsters they would defect from their party’s standard-bearer; they went to the polls, gas prices be damned, to vote against Mr. McCain. Though ignored by every channel I surfed, there actually was a G.O.P. primary on Tuesday, open only to registered Republicans. And while it was superfluous in determining that party’s nominee, 220,000 Pennsylvania Republicans (out of their total turnout of 807,000) were moved to cast ballots for Mike Huckabee or, more numerously, Ron Paul. That’s more voters than the margin (215,000) that separated Hillary Clinton and Mr. Obama.”

McLame, McShame, McPain – you name it and he’ll be it. Pro-torture, pro-war, pro-Hagee. He is getting more stupid by the day. His logic just doesn’t work – if it ever has. Now he thinks Hamas “endorsing” Obama says something about Obama. Well, if that is how you want to play it then… then I endorse you. I Angry African endorse McCain.

What I do know is that Al-Qaeda would endorse him. They love him. He will give them 100 years for a new recruitment drive. Stupid man. They are playing you like a tin drum – and you are marching to their tune.

I have to give you all a sincere applause. I mean, with such large issues needing attention in this country this has got to be the biggest one. It’s an election year and you’re definitely on top of who is doing what wrong and going right to the root of what’s wrong with them. Riding in corporate jets when you said you weren’t going to is right up there with having ties to a racial preacher and a former terrorist. And it’s also right up there with another familiar name having a chance to follow in the footsteps of her husband’s glorious eight years that opened up the economy to unlimited use by internationalists.

So yeah, thanks for using the great tools of freedom of speech and the internet itself to keep us informed! Because the last thing we need is “needles in haystacks” issues!
