The writer eventually became thoroughly disenchanted with the movement and dropped out, then had to go into hiding for while (death threats). One comment he made in the book that I’ve never forgotten? I paraphrase…

It’s not the obvious ones you need to worry about… the Skinheads w/ the tattoos and suspenders and Doc Martins. They’re too easy to spot. It’s the ones waiting in hiding, the judges and engineers and college professors, biding their time.

I can’t get that out of my head, especially in light of what so many people in this country have become over the last 7 years.

The Europeans think we’re crazy for not cracking down harder on Neo-Nazis. At the time (the early 90’s) know toshiba 3000ct battery,toshiba b404 battery which country was the largest purveyor of Neo-Nazi literature in the world?

The discourse has gotten to the point where it isn’t discourse…it’s assassination by proxy. These ‘people’ (and I use that term loosely) are fomenting tribal hatred and will need to be held to account when things REALLY go in the crapper. I think that Rev Wright is an honorable man that has been smeared by Fox News and other media to damage Barack Obama. Rev Wright has every right to defend himself and to educate people that do not understand his sermons.

Nothing burns my butt like listening to the opinions of O’Reilly, Limpdick, Hannity etc. When you have run you career making stupid, prejudiced and moronic statements about anyone on the left, you are totally irrelevant! Your opinion is worthless!

If O’Reilly had watched the Moyers interview with Rev. Wright, he would have seen a lovely, intelligent and very impressive man. Rev Wright has a long time sterling reputation that has been unfairly tarnished, and I applaud him for trying to rehabilitate himself.

If Bill Moyer was one of those journalists who sold their souls like O’Reilly and chose the dollar instead, he would be now making 5 times the money he is making now selling trash to public thru Fox Television.
But Moyer refused to sell his soul,like O’Reilly.
When Bill Moyer, journalist Helen Thomas and few others of their generations die, journalism in this country will die with them..
We will be left with greedy ,money chasers class of jounalists who lacks principles to do journalism..People who can be bought not by corporations only ..but by government agencies..That’s when our democracy and free press begin to suffer. But the relief the public has now is in their computers where they can dig the truth and exchange ideas about the country,their future,and the world on their own.
