Then again, why should we be surprised? Bush has done much the same thing at least a couple of times (has everyone forgotten the fake turkey photo from 2003?) — and since McCain seems eager to prove that he’s like Bush in many other respects, why not this one as well?

As far as I’m concerned, people like this might as well literally sign their names in blood on Old Scratch’s contract and have done with it — because they already did so in effect a long time ago. Doing something toshiba satellite 5100 battery, toshiba pa3128u battery like this does nothing except serve to suggest that the person in question has no shame, no heart, no conscience, and no soul.

Va Voter, you are just bitter because you have a genuine war hero for a Senator and that same man actually has a heart. Something you certainly lack.

Another thing you lack: The critical thinking ability to figure out that the uninsured people about whom you find to be so repugnant are using the most expensive care in the world: American emergency rooms. For a visit to the ER for a child's ear infection can cost upwards of $1000. My family doctor charges $30. The ER does not collect the $1000 because indigent families do not have it and cannot get it. My doctor gets it because it is a small price to pay for good health.

Of course, folks like you want to reduce the surplus population, right?

Staging a photo-op with some of the same children on whom he previously turned his back for no other reason than to further his own political agenda...

Despicable.

Health Care for kids is something that tugs at the hearts of most Americans. It is just beyond belief that anyone could vote against it, or worst, veto it. This is another ready made ad against McCain! It may be just one more reason to never, never again elect a rethug, but we should never again elect a rethug for any office in this country!

DAMN Hypocrite, and our Congressional delegation, both Senators and our Representative voted right along with the Republican Line not giving one thought to the children of our State. Only two of our representatives supported the SCHIPS program, Thompson and Taylor, both Democrats. The Representative from our district, Chip Pickering a lapdog of Bush represents the Republican Party, not the children of his State that would have benefited had this legislation passed.

VA Voter Says:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That right. Got to get those kids dependent on the government as soon as possible.

April 28th, 2008 at 6:16 pm

Because when they become adults , they will already be 2 steps ahead in knowing how the oil and pharmeceutical companies feel , having the horseshit GOP and their jock sniffing tools like yourself in their pockets...............

Yes, he's going to "work to eliminate the worries over the availability and cost of health care” but not actually PROVIDE health care to children.

Gee, as a mom, I guess we don't really need health care, I just need to stop worrying about not having it! Perhaps Mr. McCain will fund a "stop worrying" pill that will mean huge profits for Big Pharma.

How lovely, katy. Hillary's for McCain before she's against McCain -- if she's nominated. If not, she'll really be for McCain.

If Republiland, if you're in need of a solution, think you can fix it by giving the problem more power.

It is always all about the photo-op and nothing about the policy, at least with Republican candidates. They are shameless. The other thing that is obvious is that the health care providers and executive management have little in common or McCain would have been told to go have his picture taken someplace else.

He should have been burnt in effigy in front of the hospital for hypocrisy. As he said, "As President, I pledge to preserve the foundations that deliver innovation..." Translation: I pledge to see that the for-profit healthcare system in this country will NOT be threatened by any change.

However, without working toward that very change, he will NEVER be able to deliver on the second part of that statement, "...hope to those who are in need of modern medicine. I will work to eliminate the worries over the availability and cost of health care that trouble the waking hours and disturb the sleep of more Americans than any other single domestic issue."

McCain's plan is not only ignoring people who already don't have health insurance. It will also put 158 million insured people in great jeopardy of losing coverage also. More planning went into his health-care focus tour than into his actual Health-Care Plan for America. Republican campaign dollars hard at work to lie, deceive, and cheat the American Citizens.

So, did anyone in the audience dare raise the question about his ambiguity, or was it just another photo-op, no questions asked?
