Seems a bit farfetched to put all the blame on the Americans and seems to me it is not so much an American trait/ trend as it is a human trait for the lesser life forms among us–the members of the human race. We don’t have anything against corporations, per se. Corporations do indeed provide jobs and they are important to our economy.

What we object to are corporations who feel they are above the law. We object to corporations who buy politicians (and pass the costs down to their customers). We object to corporations who rape the environment. We object to corporations who engage in deceptive marketing practices. We object to corporations who really don’t care if they screw people, as long as they make a profit.
