State Department: Terror attacks up in Afghanistan in 2007, no ‘big’ decrease worldwide.

McClatchy reports that it was “reliably informed” that when the State Department releases its annual report on terrorism — expected later this week — it will “show no big increase or decrease in the number of terrorist attacks worldwide last year.” McClatchy added that while there was a “decline in attacks in Iraq” in 2007, there was “an increase in Afghanistan.”

And a trillion dollars later, we are still no safer than before W’s invasion. What troll is going to defend this debacle? What defense can be brought forth to explain the administrations incompetence?

Come on Backup. tell us all how great the chimpster is. It’s your money too, ya know.

  2. singe_101 says:

That just means we’re fighting them over there.

Not economically, that’s weakening for sure… and we won’t deal with terrorists in Pakistan and much of Afghanistan… but physical attacks are over there!

If the world is full of terrorist attacks other than on U.S. soil then it’s… working?

    What a bad administration.

  3. MapleStreet says:

And in return our economy is booming !

Uh wait a minute. What did you say ?

I just want to make it clear the war on terror is a disgrace to America. Anti-terrorism is not, but an irresponsible war and sponsoring companies like Blackwater? It’s awful.

That said you know they’ll say “We’re fighting them over there, there’s terrorism, we have to stay.”

If terrorist attacks had dropped substantially, though I don’t know how, we’d have to stay to keep the peace and the terrorists are “licking their wounds, biding their time. It’s a decoy.”

Did topgun have no “sense” “since” 911 or was his nonsense pre-911 thinking?

It’s Funny how the article failed to mention we have not had a terrorist attack sense 9/11. So that’s a 100% decrease in terror attacks on American soil! That just because the damn chicken’s can’t figure where to roost!! No such thing as Islamic extremist?

Bush gave OBL a gift by invading the wrong country. OBL knew Bush was a pussy who couldn’t shoot straight. OBL knew Bush was a loser who had failed at everything he ever tried. OBL knew that the Nixon throwbacks and the neocons were taking over the government. OBL Knew Bush would bankrupt our treasury to chase the wrong enemy. The only reason we have not had a similar domestic attack is because OBL is getting everything he wants from us by attacking

FIRST OF ALL….ANYTHING OUT OF THE STATE DEPT. IS A LIE.

    NOW….WHAT WAS THAT?

  9. Buckie Boy says:

Afghanistan isn’t that where old Osama bin laden was supposed to be along time ago? Wonder where his kicking crib is now? Ol’ Osama is yucking it up with his bro’s, talking smack about Bush, Cheney and how easily they fell into his trap.

Could see it now, all high five’n, low five, doing terrorist rap, while watching videos of Bush stumbling on every other word in his propaganda speeches.

As a matter of fact, Bush could not have done a worse job at national security. He chose a dismal team, filled with Regent grads. Make no mistake: All Bush’s sychophants work FOR BUSH. They do not work for the nation or it’s citizens. They are devoted to whatever Bush wants or needs. They would gladly watch the nation crumble if it would make Bush happy.

    You got that right StratRat.

  12. Zimzone says:

Is this the same State Department whose employees are too chickenshit to go to Iraq on assignment? That one?

*yawn*, numbers about the same, yada yada. SSDD.

  13. Doc Rock says:

The “surge” appears to have lost its allure in Iraq, too. Or was it the Sadrist cease-fire all along?

  14. Max-1 says:

    .

    Shhhh…

The ABCNNBCBS&FOXPRAVDA network will get wind that that “OTHER” war is not going so well…
