Rove Watch clock: 85 days.

Rove Watch clock: 85 days.

Once again, Karl Rove appeared on Fox News to discuss the Democratic primary, and once again, he and the network failed to identify his ties to Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) presidential campaign. It has now been 85 days since Rove first appeared as an analyst without any disclosure.

I noticed the chyron reads “Obama Continues To Distance Himself From His Fmr Pastor”. I’m fairly certain that I heard Sen Obama completely sever his ties with Rev Wright. How much further are they expecting him to go?

I hate to admit this but whenever I see Karl Rove my mind visualizes Ned Beatty

The Ministry of Truth is involved with news media, entertainment, the fine arts and educational books. Its purpose is to rewrite history and change the facts to fit party doctrine, for propaganda effect. For example, if Big Brother makes a prediction that turns out to be wrong, the employees of the Ministry of Truth go back and rewrite history so that any prediction Big Brother previously made is accurate.

In his latest Wall Street Journal op-ed, Karl Rove, who swears he’s not formally advising John McCain on his presidential campaign, suggests the Republican presidential nominee needs to do more to let people know about his personal story.

It came to me while I was having dinner with Doris Day. No, not that Doris Day. The Doris Day who is married to Col. Bud Day, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, fighter pilot, Vietnam POW and roommate of John McCain at the Hanoi Hilton.

Why was Texas admitted to the Union?

  6. barfly says:

I guess that makes this TP Watch day 1

    Because Rove swears he isn’t?

    Good joke, Kilo!

  7. GeeDubs says:

When are you guys at Think Progress going to understand that FOX will NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER disclose Rove’s ties to McCain – EVER!!! Rove is like Zelig, in a way – he’s always present at great moments in history, but manages to be the cypher no one can quite grasp. The man belongs in jail, and hopefully in 2009 he’ll start to feel the ‘love’ he so desperately needs. As Bette Midler said in Ruthless People – they won’t be looking at his face because he’ll be facing the other way.

    Get over yourselves.

  9. GeeDubs says:

What do you mean by that, Repunklican? If this were a DemocratIC administration, you would be all over yourself trying to expose this type of behavior. Hypocritical bullshit is what it amounts to.

You mean in his role in Deliverance, don’t you?

  13. GeeDubs says:

Well…THEY were definitely facing the other way in Deliverance, weren’t they?

  15. Robt says:

I too, am waiting for their disclosure of Rove’s involvment with McCampaign….

  16. barfly says:

Kilo: Rove is going to be the only source of such a statement. He just issued one to the contrary. I can’t explain this to you any clearer than that already does.

Someone’s forgotten that Rove gave five repeat performances in his testimony before a grand jury. He had to retestify, to clear up conflicting statements, over… and over… and over…

  17. barfly says:

Someone’s equating grand dury testimony to commentary on Fox.
Just as much pressure and questioning there you thinking ? Yeah ? No ?
Like I said. Keep it up until November.

I guess the little things, like demonstrating a propensity to lie – in any venue – just goes right over your poor little head. I’m so sorry…
