I went to the Naval Academy with Tony Zirkle. He was a wierd dude…

We were both assigned to the group that trained the incoming plebes during their first Summer. About halfway through, Tony had a nervous breakdown and disappeared. He ended up dropping out of school.

I understand Zirkle got only 16% of the vote this time around. This is certainly better than the 30% he got in 2006, but still a bit alarming that 16% of Indiana Republicans would accept such a pro-Nazi guy as their representative. I would hope that the other 84% of Indiana Republicans are saying “not only NO, but H*LL NO!”

Zirkle’s defeat was the fault of the mainstream news media. His speech to the Nazi’s at the celebration of Hitler’s birthday received very little media attention. As a result most Republican voters do not even know he is a Nazi sympathizer.
