“Most people” barely have all the facts correct about how horrible and nefarious this imbecilic president and his godawful administration are ; you believe they have any insight or even an opinion on their local or state government ?

They do not have the tiniest inkling ; and now you’re attempting to suggest their ire and dissillusionment isn’t based upon their view(s) of the Chimpy administration or the future inevitability of an Obama presidency , but is mixed in with state and local , too ?

You did not infer anything close to that , earlier , nor do I believe that you yourself believes that at all.

Of course you’re right. The poll results cited mean not the simplest, most logical explanation of what they appear to say, but instead they reveal a deep and abiding embrace by the American people of virtually every important right-wing taking point.

That should translate into big numbers for Republicans in November, then shouldn’t it?

I mean, if 82% of the people are of the mind you describe, Republicans should sweep back into power with super-majorities in both houses, eh? Good luck with that.

I say people believe the country is off track now. Not just because of the federal government. Local and state government as well. They see government influenced by special interest groups. They pay taxes on every dollar they make and see nothing for it. If you want to start a business you have to pay the government permission. And if you make a profit you pay taxes on it. And if you do something that some special interest group doesn’t like you get regulated (not by the market) but by politicians looking for there next vote. The Dems are no better than the Reps.
