I don't remember any other time in my life when a presidential candidate was judged by his pastor, whether he wore a flag pin or not, or the other trivialities blown up to be "big issues" by the media and the opposition spin machine. The fact that a third of our people are less likely to vote for Obama based upon things his PREACHER said (!) is scary. Especially when you consider that the only reason Wright was brought into the spotlight is that Obama himself could not be painted a scary black preacher as Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton could. Therefore, a scary black preacher had to be brought into the forefront. Looks like it worked. I think what this says more than anything else is how easily Americans can be manipulated by spin.
