In a separate ruling, the judge ordered a psychiatric evaluation for Hamdan to determine if he is competent to stand trial. A psychiatrist hired by his lawyers found he suffers from depression and post-traumatic stress disorder and cannot participate in his defense. The military says he has no signs of any mental problems.

I wonder if he was tortured, em.. excuse me, subjected to enhanced interrogation.

If the Supreme Court does not come back with a fair verdict on the right of detainees; they are setting up any military soldier to the same treatment overseas. How can we cry foul if one of our men are held six years with no rights?

We will lose even more respect aboard if the Supreme Court does not rule to give these detainees a fair trial. Our country has already suffered enough damage to our reputation without adding to it.

That and if a Republican does not get elected,then the whole fiasco of military tribunals and attempts to deny fair trials may get shut down by Obama.

However…
