McCain excludes Malkin from blogger conference calls.

Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) campaign has begun an effort to reach out to both liberal and conservative bloggers, perhaps attempting to repair the senator’s past slights against new media. However, one blogger upset at not being included in the project is Michelle Malkin, who yesterday complained that she wasn’t invited to take part:

Yesterday, I learned that several far left-wing blogs were invited to participate in The Maverick’s blogger conference call session (it’s part of that Big Vision Thing). I e-mailed McCain’s New Media guy, Patrick Hynes, asking if I could participate in the next blogger conference call.

After all, McCain said yesterday he’ll “listen to any idea that is offered in good faith and intended to help solve our problems, not make them worse” and “will set a new standard for transparency and accountability” and “will work with anyone, of either party, to make this country safe, prosperous and proud.”

If he’s willing to take questions from hostile liberal bloggers, why not take some from conservative bloggers who represent substantial readerships with dissenting views on how best to make this country “safe, prosperous, and proud?” I’ll keep you updated.

As Malkin herself would say, “Boo-freakin-hoo.” (HT: Atrios and TBogg)

Michelle Malkin spews venom and hile this tactic by McCain reeks of political opportunism, he is correct to ignore this witch.

How about conceeding the election to Obama today so we don’t have to put up with all the BS until November?

    “substantial readerships?” Hahahaaahahaaa!!!!

BTW, I don’t read the radio Malkin!!!

“why not take some [questions] from conservative bloggers”

Because they are Ghoul-Aid guzzling morons like you Malkin!!! 25%ers and dropping like a rock…which matches ratings perfectly!!!

Which is higher Malkin? Your IQ or the total number of listeners you have???

McCain should listen to Malkin. After all, she has such thoughtful views on Gitmo.

Why doesn’t McCain just open his conference calls to as many bloggers as technologically possible? This is the “digital” age and this guy needs as much exposure as possible, whether good or bad. He’s campaigning for President of the United States of America. If he’s serious about “transparency and accountability” he doesn’t pick and choose who comes to ask questions every time he has one of these.

I’m sticking up for Malkin’s right to blog, not for her herself. The woman’s views scare me more than Jason, Freddy and Michael Myers’ love child, Nancy Grace.

  6. OneCitizen says:

You can tell where they’re going with this because they’ve been calling ol’ Koz a nazi because of what filks have posted over there.

By pulling that Malkin stunt, he’s obviously attempting to portray himself as a moderate and paint liberal bloggers as wingnuts. It’s an ongoing strategy that hasn’t worked for them because even the most liberal sites aren’t nearly as the wack-a-doodle neocon sycophants.

Watch for some false radical “liberal” sites to pop up and act all crazy so he can smear bloggers the same way the right wing mis portrayed the main stream media as “liberal” years ago.

I believe has the right to blog too!

But, she has no right to insist on an invitation from someone who does not want her there. And that’s not a free speech violation either trolls.

Has the McCain campaign released their list of invited bloggers? It would be interesting to see who they included, versus those they are excluding. I think the statement “in good faith” should be a tip-off for Malkin and others of her ilk. What I thought was really funny was her statement regarding this:

This is indeed an instructive example of how a McCain White House would run: He’ll talk to the far left. He’ll talk to “acceptable” conservatives. But the grass-roots Right? Immigration enforcement proponents? You’ll be as out of luck as you would be with Barack Obama in office.

Her problem is that she considers herself the grass-root Right (as I’m sure Colter does as well), while the great majority of people on both the Right and the Left consider both these ladies on the fringe of the Right.

    Dissenting views?

McCain has reneged suring his campaign on every “maverick” position he’s held—immigration “amnesty”, abortion, earmarks and the the environment (all of which has been nothing more than lip-service anyway) so he’s now just Bush’s doppelganger. only with a shorter temper.
Malkin and her cohorts couldn;t find a candidate more like Bush who’ve they’ve championed in Pavlovian style through thick and…well. thicker all these years.

How can she possibly claim to have a relevant “dissenting” view of McCain’s expressed positions?

Oh right, I forgot…she’s the Malkinator. She doesn’t feel pain, she has no conscience, she’s programmed to do one thing and one thing only. She’ll never stop. Never!

It’s already starting to happen. The right wing trolls are popping up on Huffington Post posing as Hillary supporters bashing Obama. It’s pretty obvious from what they say the the posters are in no way liberal. They try to hose threads with their hate and bigotry. It’s giving the moderators at HP a real workout. The fallout is that all their threads are now moderated which is very annoying for the posters. It used to be they only moderated threads where they were afraid some controversy may pop up. Now it’s pretty much all threads. Expect to see them pop up here too when TP finally starts paying attention to Obama (if they ever do).

I read many of the posts and they do feel like they have been abandoned. It was funny to read that some are going to vote for Obama. They are mad at McCain for talking to the left or as one of them put it opening lines of communication. They are feeling betrayed; my answer to that. WELCOME TO OUR WORLD!!! Were was this feeling of betrayal for the last 7 1/2 years for all this administration has done to America?? I think they have been in a coma…

Hillary is an AIPAC Tool, on the same side as McCain. The Zionists are getting upset about Obama not showing more support for Israel. This is why Coulter, Limbaugh, Hannity, O’Reilly, ad pukeum is supporting her. She is one with Landrew (Likud). Why TP is not showing support for Obama is anyone’s guess. Maybe they will when he is running fact-to-face with McCain. THAT should be interesting. Mr Cool vs Mr Foam-at-the-mouth.

Wah-wah-wah. Poor Obama. He gets bashed by ALLEGED “right wing trolls posing as Hillary supporters” and the whole of the alleged progressive community cries “no fair”. But when the Obamabots bash Hillary using right-wing talking points, that’s all well and good. (Just like good ol’ Axelrod who whined about “all” the GOP voters who were “Dems for a day” and voted for Hillary in Indiana, despite the OBAMA campaign actually SUPPORTING that idea in primaries and caucuses for months before that.)
The reality is that people bashing Obama probably just don’t like the man and don’t necessarily have to be “right wing trolls”. The “left wing trolls” who pose as Hillary supporters on Hillary-friendly sites “suggesting” that Hillary concede now are quite rightly called out, but you don’t hear much of that since the major “progressive” sites are in Obama’s pocket (and have been since before Iowa). (As to Huffington Post, let’s not forget that good ol’ Arianna was a loyal Republican for YEARS, and was a Hillary-basher from her first foray into punditry. I guess “once a Republican Hillary-basher, always a Hillary-basher”.)

dude..shut up…Hilary IS a walking right wing talking point. obama has run a almost wholly positive campaign which is a refreshing change from hilary’s nagging, “vote for me because hard working whites wont vote for a darky” meme…

Hilary lost, get over it or turn the keys over to McApocalypse

  31. Fair says:

Michelle Malkin lends nothing of positive value to the political discusssion, the reason John McCain has banned her from the calls.

This woman is trying so hard to dethrone both Coulter and Ingraham it’s comical. Her blog and HotAir, the other mess she runs, are both chock full of hateful and threatening comments. How she has the nerve to talk about any of the comments on the Liberal blogs is staggering.

After O’Reilly canned her she had to really scramble to keep herself in the Right’s limelight. She’s very desparate for attention, thus the vitriol is in high gear. McCain obviously chooses not to mainstream her, she’s a fringe character.

  32. Fair says:

The Right Wing Trolls will pretend to be Hillary supporters to drive a wedge in our Party.

Let’s all be very vigilant and not allow them to get away with it.

Wake up Democrats and watch your backs. Michelle malkin wants nothing more than a complete breakdown of our beloved Party, don’t feed her or the rest of the Rethug Trolls.

Their Party is in such disarray, the only thing they can do is come after us and try to destroy The Party of Jefferson.

Don’t help them in succeeding people, stay cool. In the immortal words of Mick Jagger at Altamont, “Sisters and Brothers, why are we fighting and what for?”

Let’s hope not for these Rethugs….
