Today, during a speech about nuclear non-proliferation in Colorado, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was repeatedly heckled by anti-Iraq war protesters, chanting, “Endless war! Endless war!” Watch it:
“I’ll never surrender in Iraq,” McCain responded. “And we are winning,” he added.

“And we are winning,” he added.

I’m not saying that an older person can’t necessarily work for as long as s/he chooses and aspire to new heights, but this is McCain hating younger people and believing that he is automatically the better candidate by virtue of his age and overrated military service. This is McCain believing that he is the ruler and everyone must suffer as he sees fit.

May 27th, 2008 at 1:44 pmIsn’t surrender usually done by the side that’s losing? If we are winning, then we wouldn’t be surrendering. If we surrender, then we aren’t wnning. Any change in action does not constitute ’surrender’. Do the sheep that follow this sort of non-logic really think in these black and white terms? Where is the evidence that the change in course will result in ‘defeat’? It seems like we’re trapped in Iraq because Americans, namely republicans, can’t get out of Chinese handcuffs without chewing off their finger, thinking that’s the only way.

May 27th, 2008 at 1:55 pmWe have massacred an innocent war torn 3rd world country with half the population under 16 years of age a country with no substantial military, then we occupy. How is this winning???? Winning what???
I’m sure there was some security precautions taken prior to this event which points to the poor job McCain’s staff did in keeping out the protesters. Unless of course they eased their standards at the door to be able to have a decent sized audience.
Once John and Barack are debating face to face, I think John will be surprised when he hears the voices of the people.

Like many tragic figures, he’s an old fool who has nothing left but war. He only becomes more pathetic when he becomes a Viagra spokesperson.
May 27th, 2008 at 2:00 pmJust a question…
May 27th, 2008 at 2:07 pmIf we were to “surrender in Iraq”, just who is it that we would be surrendering to? I mean, who would be on the other side of the table to accept our surrender?
I rather like the imagery of McCain in a soiled adult diaper, on the frontlines of Iraq, waving a white flag, sucking his thumb.
May 27th, 2008 at 2:07 pmWhen he says on his website “John McCain Will Work To Strengthen Existing International Treaties And Institutions To Combat Proliferation And Develop New Ones Where Necessary. The U.S. should move quickly to negotiate a Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty and improve the ability to interdict the spread of nuclear weapons and material under the Proliferation Security Initiative. John McCain will increase funding for American nonproliferation efforts, including the Cooperative Threat Reduction programs established by the landmark Nunn-Lugar legislation,” what he means is, the UN-based Non-Proliferation Treaty can be ignored and bypassed in favor of a US-centric scheme, which simply permits US clients such as Israel and India, and conceivably though less probably Saudi Arabia, to have nuclear weapons, but not others.

McCain’s inflection of the word honor implies that the troops do not have honor unless they come home victorious. First of all, victory already happened. Saddam is gone and no WMD’s. A victorious occupation is still yet to be clearly defined or obtainable.
Hey McCain, despite what you say, our troops have honor. Even if they came home tonight.
May 27th, 2008 at 2:28 pmIt needs to be stated each time this lie comes out - Ahmadinejad has NEVER said he wants to wipe Israel off the map.

May 27th, 2008 at 2:32 pmOn McCain’s military experience : Do three plane crashes and being captured by the enemy in Vietnam really make him the best qualified candidate speak about the military? I understand it took bravery to come through those years in Hanoi, but bravery and skill are two different things entirely. I’m quite sure that most would agree.
May 27th, 2008 at 2:41 pmWhen I think of all the crap that’s gone down the last 8 years–I really don’t want to look at this man the next 4-8 years. Sometimes I really hate what this country has become.
May 27th, 2008 at 2:50 pmMcBush just makes me sick to my stomach.
In a similar fashion that the War in Iraq iss Bush’s personal vendetta for an attempt on his father’s life coupled with trying to finish what Bush Sr. started, McCant’s personal interest in “winning” stems from his personal sacrifices in a war (Vietnam) that was ended before victory was achieved.
May 27th, 2008 at 2:53 pmIn this sense, as Hug The Moon implies with McCant’s references to the troops returning “with honor in victory” does this mean thet McCant’s service was not honorable? If the President during Vietnam stated, “I’ll never surrender in Vietnam”, would McCant have been patriotically satisfied to languish in the Hanoi Hilton while the conflict continued awaiting “victory”? While scores more of his friends and military companions died needlessly to satisfy a pig-headed Commander in Chief? Does this man not appreciate the will of the nation’s people during HIS time in foreign custody, fighting the Administration to end the conflict in Vietnam and bring ALL of their soldiers home?
Just remember:
The revolution will not be televised!
May 27th, 2008 at 3:01 pmI seem to remember that McCain signed a letter while in captivity condemning American involvement in Vietnam. Now, I know that this letter was most likely coerced and I certainly don’t hold that against him, but it still is an example of him surrendering. Can anyone confirm this. Also I’m not sure who he is suggesting that we would be surrendering to. The democratically elected Maliki government? If memory serves, Bush declared victory quite some time ago.
May 27th, 2008 at 3:40 pm“And we are winning,” he added.
Winning what, John?
“I’ll never surrender in Iraq”
And there you go. From the lips of McBush.
May 27th, 2008 at 3:42 pmThe only thing we are “winning” in Iraq is the contempt, and enmity, of civilized people around the globe. We are “winning” exactly what we deserve.
Each day earns us new enemies. Each day earns us a deeper dept. Each day earns us decreased international security. And on, and on.
There will never be a positive result, from the occupation of Iraq, because it was WRONG. Failure to recognize that simple fact should bar one from public office.
May 27th, 2008 at 3:43 pmJohn McCain says he’ll never surrender in Iraq; while having also said Barack Obama has wanted to surrender for some time.
Pay very close attention folks- this is the classic fubar, Rovewellian schtupping of the collective mindset, employed relentlessly by GW Bogus & the Lie Factory; and probably what John McCain hopes to be Obama’s Achilles heel.
McCain’s argument, however, is easily dismantled!
The way I see it, Barack Obama doesn’t want to surrender, he is simply willing to give our troops the victory denied them by GW Bogus & the Lie Factory; the victory McCain will continue to deny them!
How many times have we heard from military leaders, that there is no military solution in Iraq? How many polls have shown the majority of the American people, the majority of the Iraqi people, and the majority of the Iraqi government WANT US OUT?
Our troops finished their job in Iraq long ago. They have been denied victory so that GW Bogus & the Lie Factory can use America’s resources to exploit Iraq’s resources. Period. McCain will only continue the Lie Factory’s policies.
OBAMA, OH EIGHT!!!!!!!!

Code of Conduct
Article I;
I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.
Article II
I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist.
Article III
If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and to aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.
Article IV
If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me and will back them up in every way.
Article V
When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am required to give name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies, or harmful to their cause.

There’s no particular shame in it. Everybody broke, finally.
He flew 23 missions against mainly civilian targets. Got a ribbon per mission, approximately. Never faced actual combat, just lobbed ordnance at defenseless civilian infrastructure.

May 27th, 2008 at 6:13 pmIt’s just old-fashioned colonial, imperial aggression, more typical of 17th, 18th and 19th century England, France, Spain and the Netherlands. Oh, but it is Bush and Cheney’s grand plan after they managed to sleep through some four dozen warnings in early 2001… Heck of a snooze, huh, Cheney and Bush? May 27th, 2008 at 8:50 pmAnswer to above dumb question: McCain still paid $5 per rug. The cost of the military escort is paid by the American Taxpayer - simple cost shifting (see KBR),

Hey Kilotrollshit
As usual, the question is, “WTF are you rambling about?”
McCain’s service is discredited. He has been overhonored. That is a fact. He was a terrible aviator.
Military service or no military service, you honestly believe that should be reason to start more wars? The motive of inflicting the same pain, if not more painful, on a new genera
tion just because the Sen. went through the same is the way to justify the means?
A chickenhawk is a chickenhawk. If McCain wants to run to the opposite of logic and spout the happy talking points amid destruction and chaos and blood, he should take part in the mission he holds dear. Military service, while honorable, does not excuse irrational warmongering.
P.S. Have you got the message yet that you’re a rambling troll? Do you enjoy being embarrased every time you come here, is that why you return?
Go f uck yourself.
