Did anyone else see Gretchen (i think, the one who had never heard the word know ‘vitriolic’ ) on Fox and Friends having her once a year eureka moment, and blurt out a question asking, (and I am paraphrasing here) “why can’t the administration make its employees sign non-disclosure contracts like celebrities make their assistants do so they can’t write a tell all book.”

I guess a secret government sounds like a pretty good idea to her.

Then after some more thinking (and I use that word lightly), she said, “oh well, I guess that would go against the first amendment”.

Really Gretchen? … Really? … You think having a secret government might work out for us? Really. I’ll let you think about maybe some other reason why that might not work out, but don’t hurt yourself.

Call me paranoid, but I see this McClellan tell all book , as the opening gambit in McCain’s new election strategy.

I think Sen. McCain must now realize the effect President Bush is having on his chances for victory in November. Like in the old Vampire movies, the only thing that will protect Sen. McCain from the ravages of Bush’s record is DAYLIGHT.
This will be hard for him to pull off, especially since his 2008 voting record in the Senate matched Bush’s agenda 100%.

If McCain can distance himself from Bush…in Bush’s handling of Hurricane Katrina , for example…. he can reassert his “Maverick Credentials”. Throw in some criticism of Bush’s “doctored” pre-war intelligence….an you could make the case that McCain’s presidency will be CHANGE from the current , wrong track fiasco.
Obama, however, could poke holes in this makeover all day long, if he gets listened to by the press and the voters.

Also notice that the trolls will give numerous reasons WHY McClellan is saying all of these things – and pointing out that others have done this in the past – but none of them are addressing anything that McClellan has said. Forget attacking the messenger, what about the message?
