If this particular instance is what Scott uses to claim Hadley is an”honorable and selfless man,” I would say admitting error to your own group of insiders, but never going public with that responsibility and allowing someone else to get smeared for it (Tenet) is hardly honorable or selfless in MY book. That sets a very low bar!!

Hadley didn’t quit, and Tenet’s name was never fully cleared. Still, McClellan identified Hadley as an “honorable” and “selfless” man.

So Stephen Hadley was responsible for the bogus enriched uranium claim? He admitted he was wrong, and said he should quit.

The White House response was to not only reject his resignation, but they then REWARDED him by making him National Security Advisor. That tells you all you need to know about the Bush administration. They were HAPPY that propaganda came out. They REWARDED the guy who came up with it.

I bet you they knew while they were reading Joe Wilson’s op-ed about the uranium claim being bogus, but STILL chose to out his wife as a CIA operative in the media as payback for Wilson telling the truth.

Think I will call in, CiTiDC @ 4- have called before, quite a while ago. Might ask McClellan about this quote from Gannon:

And the smear has begun. They’re “puzzled” by Scottie, he’s not “the Scottie they knew”, suggesting that perhaps Scottie is not mentally well. He told the truth and that’s something this administration does not admire. Ari Fleischer said that McClellan was inept at his job. So, who put him there? The most inept president ever.
