I despise the argument that it actually matters whether someone thinks it’s a natural cycle or manmade.
It was politicians who started the whole “global warming is real!” craze. Regardless which one you believe in, chances are you agree that the weather pattern is different and therefore changing.

What can we do? How about we change our ways for a wiser way of living. Oh look that means we get rid of all the crap people think causes Global warming, AND we’re better prepard in case the weather decides to REALLY get crazy. Lookit that. Amazing.

I think people just like to fight over things instead of actually doing something that matters, sometimes.

(I’m a bit cynical this morning *cough* ’scuse moi)

It’s good to see a little bit more sanity. The truth is starting to come out. Over one third of climate scientists are skeptical that any global warming is caused by humans. Last week 9,000 scientists signed a petition stating that the debate is not closed, man-made GW is not settled science. It is not nearly as proven as ‘the earth is round’.

It was only there for a day, I only intervene if one hits the slider and I have to revive it.
Fire season is off to a slow start here, I haven’t gotten away much, and even on my day off I’m on call and can’t go more than a few miles away.
The “college crew” is coming back for another week, tomorrow, I really enjoy working with them, they absorb and dispense knowledge with equal measure.

Cool but what became of it. I assume you did not intervene. It has been some years since I stomped the SW. I really need to do a Big Bend or Copper Canyon trip but I am trying to save some dough and I think I might want to wait till my girls are old enough to be more involved. Trinidad and Tobago are still a must bird that I haven’t done yet as well.

I had an injured hybrid black headed / rose breasted grosbeak (male)hopping around the fountain last week.

Being from the East, I was trying to figure out why a seeming rose breasted was here in New Mexico. Only when it spread it’s wings could I see orange feathers all around it’s shoulders.

Peterson’s solved the mystery for me, making mention of the hybrid. Still way out of it’s element, habitat wise, it could not fly, it hopped upwards to get water, and around the yard after seeds and such.

I hear ya. Things have been slow lately but just becuase I have been busy. I did pick up Grey fox the other day but a skipped a birding trip with some buddies and they picked up 108 species in 24 hours. Dumb move on my part.

Funny…I challenge God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and everyone else to come to my door and tell me the secrets and stuff, but they never answer my call. Then again, why should I think my relationship problems are tied to me not showing enough affection for Jesus? Is he that petty? I didn’t know I needed to be bullied and beaten with the bible in-order to respect it. Then again, thinking the whole human race sprouted from two humans a couple of thousand years ago doesn’t make much mathematical sense either. I hope your bible has a built-in flotation device in-case of flooding on a global scale.

Bruce Lee never had to fly around in weird poses in order to kick ass. What’s up with that?

He did have to make really weird faces to kick ass… maybe that’s the first step to flying… if Heavy Metal guitarists start performing face-melting solos while flying we will know my theory is correct.
