Some students from Duke (Durham, NC) were seeing on tv how the people of NO were suffering, so they got in a 20 year-old Civic and drove there and began passing out food and water. They got there before the federal aid and they went to parts that were said to be ‘inaccessible’.

McCain will say anything for a vote, next he’ll say his cousin is African American. What happen to the Katrina victims is a spot on the USA. Americans have watched Third World Countries beiing treated poorly and even dying without help. Now for many Americans who watched the continued news coverage we got to see Americans die live on TV as our Law Makers and White House did nothing. It was other countries and American people who went to help. It was sad to see Bush turn away help from others in the hour of need for the Katrina victims. Like most things in American history this will be added.
