This evening on the House floor, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) is presenting 35 articles of impeachment against President Bush to Congress. “The first article Kucinich presented regarded the war in Iraq. ‘Article 1: Creating a secret propaganda campaign to manufacture a false case for war against Iraq.’”
UPDATE: Video of a portion of Kucinich’s speech:
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!
This would put Cheney in charge. NO NO NO NO NO!
Both or Cheney first. There is no way we need a President Cheney. The bombing would begin immediately.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:38 pmWhile the traditional media mocks him over his “serious” issues like his height and UFOs, Dennis Kucinich alone upholds his sworn oath to defend the Constitution. Would that the rest of our elected representatives in Congress had the same courage and conviction.
Bravo, Rep. Kucinich. This American stands to applaud your dedication to this republic.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:40 pm???
June 9th, 2008 at 8:42 pmGod bless Dennis!!!
June 9th, 2008 at 8:42 pmThe bombing would begin immediately.
I’m sure there are accessory charges sitting there on the podium.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:42 pmIt’s about time.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:42 pmSo, how many votes are needed?
June 9th, 2008 at 8:43 pmHey Pilosi?? Get a clue!!!!
June 9th, 2008 at 8:43 pmBring ‘em on!
June 9th, 2008 at 8:44 pm..for the purposes of seizing Iraqi oil!
Yeah Dennis!
June 9th, 2008 at 8:45 pmHey look, someone in Congress is actually doing their job and fulfilling their Constitutional duty.
How unique.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:45 pmWow, he’s calling Bush a president, worse than Reagan and Bush 1 and Nixon combined.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:45 pmralph the wonder llama. Nevar, etal: Get your gear together, it’s gonna be a long night.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:45 pm…reasons given for the war were categorically fraudulent!
June 9th, 2008 at 8:46 pmIs there any footage of Bohner bursting into tears or Michele Bachmann mouthing a silent scream?
June 9th, 2008 at 8:46 pmLuis M Says:
So, how many votes are needed?
To pass Articles of impeachment, simple majority.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:47 pmHere comes Dick…

______
You mean he isn’t already?
June 9th, 2008 at 8:48 pmOh! - but according to anyone who’s anyone in DC there is just no time left. No time left to impeach murderous war criminals….no time…..soldiers & innocent Iraqis still dying…but no time left…that’s what “some people are saying”(MSM)…
———————————————————
Go Dennis!
P.S.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:49 pmPlease Impeach Pelosi when W. bombs Iran
It’s a double header!
He’s also laying the groundwork for charging Cheney!
June 9th, 2008 at 8:50 pmIf they can’t impeach on the Pentagon Propaganda program then our government does not work.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:50 pmSecret Task Force…
June 9th, 2008 at 8:50 pmArticle 7: Invading Iraq without a declaration of war.
Article 8: Invading Iraq in violation of the U.N. charter and international law.
Article 9: Failing to provide troops with body armour and vehicle armour.
Article 10: Falsifying accounts of US troops deaths and injuries for political purposes
Article 11: Establishment of permanent military bases in Iraq
Article 12: Initiating a war against Iraq for control of that nation’s natural resources.
Does anyone have articles 2 - 6? I tuned in late…
June 9th, 2008 at 8:51 pmSecret energy task force unconstitutionally abrogates congressional oversight…
June 9th, 2008 at 8:52 pmwho’s the dame behind him?
June 9th, 2008 at 8:52 pmA few years back, when Cheney had a very serious Heart Problem, the joke was that…. Bush was a heartbeat away from the Presidency. So True.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:52 pmHe is backing every charge with law.
And evidence that was already presented or gathered OR public record.
I’m googling his references.
Looks rock solid so far. And yes more are there. Bet Wexler will be throwing his support behind this.
Anyone recognize the lady who just sat behind him?
June 9th, 2008 at 8:53 pmI would guess that the woman behind him is his chief of staff or equiv.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:54 pmWho’s that sitting behind him? Marcy Kaptur?
June 9th, 2008 at 8:55 pmJinJin:
June 9th, 2008 at 8:55 pmThis is serious. Cut your shit for real or we will collectively kick your ass. Give it a break please.
Suppressing the GAO, preventing them from doing their jobs, violating US Law
June 9th, 2008 at 8:56 pmHe’s already introduced articles against Cheney. If some of you don’t have a constitution, I would be glad to send you one. The trolls here are paid to say stupid things.
June 9th, 2008 at 8:56 pmAwesome!
June 9th, 2008 at 8:57 pm#14 Valerie Plame…
June 9th, 2008 at 8:59 pmUh,oh. I think the Plame civil case just got kicked down the road, until this is over.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:00 pm#15 Providing Immunity for Contractors In Iraq!!!
June 9th, 2008 at 9:02 pmI feel a little like Homer Simpson as I just put in a spliter to my neighbors cable. I promise to remove it as soon as this is done. Who is that pearl wearing lady behind him?
June 9th, 2008 at 9:03 pmCreation of an extra-governmental (mercenary) force, free of US law, and free of congressional oversight. Violation of article 6.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:04 pm#16 Wreakless Spending…
June 9th, 2008 at 9:05 pmNo-bid contracts, violates article 2.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:06 pmMs J,
June 9th, 2008 at 9:06 pmDicky has been in charge from day 1.
Gotta start somewhere.
Take the head off the beast first, then perform the autopsy.
Googled “kucinich introduces impeachment Bush”
160,000 hits already.
This is pretty hot news on the net and it still happening.
This is gonna be hard for MSN to ignore and have even an illusion of impartiality.
These charges are solidly founded in LAW.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:07 pmJust heard a caller on Randi’s show (delayed broadcast)that Wexler will have Scotty under oath June 20… this with an introduction of impeachment may mean we will get things rolling.
If Bush is under impeachment can he or Cheney illegally bomb Iran?
June 9th, 2008 at 9:08 pmProblem is, attacking Iran will be the “distraction” to the impeachment trial, mark my words.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:08 pmDaryll Says:
Pray, Daryll… Now, more than ever!
June 9th, 2008 at 9:09 pmSo says the umpa lumpa who wears diapers instead of whitey tighties.
We really don’t need you to verbalize your fantasies, Godboy.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:10 pm#45 had enough,
Wanna bet the WH files suit to prevent his testimony???
June 9th, 2008 at 9:11 pmYes, they can illegally bomb Iran.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:11 pmDaryll Says:
——————————————————————————–
So says the umpa lumpa who wears diapers instead of whitey tighties. Impeachment, yeah right!!!!
June 9th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
Yeah
Instead needs to become a part of a cult like mormonism , and so claim his magic underpants …….
June 9th, 2008 at 9:12 pmMs_Joanne
June 9th, 2008 at 9:13 pmArticles of impeachment of Cheney have already been introduced.
Those can be modified adding new charges for a lot of the evidence lined out in the Bush articles of impeachment.
Daryll: “So says the umpa lumpa who wears diapers instead of whitey tighties.”
Bend over and kiss your parodoxical ass goodbye.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:13 pmA shame we didn’t start this in January, 06….really nothing that hasn’t been known since that time. This is going to be painful for a lot of Democrats that were hoping to avoid this subject before the GE. Too bad. Everyone will have to vote on each article and then explain their vote to their constituents. I imagine the polling genies are very busy tonight. They might be surprised that a clear majority agrees with Dennis.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:14 pmHe’s introducing John Conyer’s book into the charge, meaning an implied threat to Conyers, to subpoena him to testify for impeachment.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:15 pmDieNowForPeace Says:
Problem is, attacking Iran will be the “distraction” to the impeachment trial, mark my words.
I was hoping an impeachment trial would limit the commander’s ability to order such an attack until the trial is over.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:16 pmThis should have been done long ago. I think one of the obstacles to impeachment is the very word itself. It sounds ominous and extreme — in reality, it is a firing and a “removal for cause”.
We have been held captive to this moronic little tin cowboy because Congress hasn’t had the stomach “to put the country through the stress and upheaval of an impeachment” (I guess that’s reserved only for presidents who get blow-jobs and lie about it).
The price that we will pay for generations for this incompetent, deceitful, greedy and devious administration is astronomical. Both GDumbya and Darth Cheney deserve to be fired!
To Dennis! And a note to the rest of the Congress — pay attention and follow him.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:17 pmOnly the candidates who don’t believe in the law and the constitution will be harmed. And they are 90% Rethug.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:17 pmTiming is everything. I believe Kucinich has thought this out carefully. There is enough momentum now for Bush, and Cheney, to be effectively hamstrung for the rest of their days in office.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:20 pmRemember that Bush is out of the country at the moment, for whatever that is worth.
I hope Nancy PollLoser has a hard day tomorrow before the press!!! She is the enabler since 2004!!
She must be removed!!!!!
June 9th, 2008 at 9:20 pmWhat is he charging now? Malfeasance? Misuse of government funds? Fraudulent billing?
June 9th, 2008 at 9:20 pmHabeaus!
June 9th, 2008 at 9:21 pm#17 Illegal Detention!
June 9th, 2008 at 9:22 pmYou’re really bursting out of the closet full force Daryll, where is your christian kindness?
June 9th, 2008 at 9:22 pmLOL
I have to hand it to you, you pulled off the longest running parody yet seen here on TP.
Daryll,
Shut the F_CK up, you imbecile.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:23 pmDaryll Says:
“Support the drilling in Alaska”!!!
I thought you didn’t approve of the gay penguins, D.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:24 pmCongress and the senate need to re-vote on their Iran bombing plans without Congressional approval (clearly against the Constitution). We still have Pelosi, Hillary, Lieberman, and now Obama saying they will give billions to Israel to fight Iran. In fact, I think Israel will attack Iran without the USA, so the impeachment with regards to attacking Iran is null and void. The simple fact is the Likud/Zionists are running US Middle East foreign policy, and ALL of the candidates have their noses up the butts of Israel.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:24 pmHey Daryll
June 9th, 2008 at 9:25 pmWhat up? I just got here so I have to get caught up but say we hang out in a bit?
daryll, you’re one neuron short of a synapse, aren’t you, sweetpea?
Try to stick with the topic of the thread if you, indeed, feel compelled to post here and expose your abject ignorance. Drilling in ANWR is not the topic of this thread. Nor is it a very good idea, for that matter.
Your puny little effort to pin something on the democrats is laughable in the face of the litany of illegal and incompetent actions enumerated in Kucinich’s impeachment articles.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:26 pmYour beloved president is the reason our economy is in extreme need of help. We had it pretty good the eight years between bushes.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:26 pmI’m sure Ms. Pelosi will kill it. Mustn’t hold Bush accountable for his many crimes. Somebody might get angry.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:26 pmGive Nancy Pelosi a break.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:27 pmLet’s see what she does with this. She may well be the most excellent facilitator required to guide the house step by step through this process, crossing every t and dotting every i.
#65 Daryll,
An attack against Iran is not a political/personal ploy. We must prevent them from continuing to build WMD’s to attack Israel, the Middle East and Western countries.
Go defend Israel sh!thead!! March on their land a$$hole!!!
I AM FOR AMERICA FIRST!!!!!!!
June 9th, 2008 at 9:27 pmClinton didn’t destroy God’s creation by drilling and I was paying 99 cents per gallon.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:30 pmdaryll says: You probably think $4 per gallon of gas is funny, too. This doesn’t affect me
Yup, pant-load. In retrospect, you were really lucky to have your license suspended after your last DWI arrest. Maybe $4 per gallon gas doesn’t affect you but just wait until you see how much more your beer and Jack Daniels is going to cost next month.
You’re one tree short of a hammock, aren’t you, skid-mark?
June 9th, 2008 at 9:32 pmHere’s where we are so far (and I’m still looking for articles 2 - 6, if anyone has them…)
Article 1: Creating a secret propaganda campaign to manufacture a false case for war against Iraq
Article 7: Invading Iraq without a declaration of war.
Article 13: Secret task force for directing national energy policy
Article 14: Misprision of a felony, misuse and exposure of classified information and cover up (Plame outing)
Article 15: Providing immunity from prosecution for criminal conduct for contractors in Iraq
Article 16: Reckless misspending and wasted US tax dollar with Iraq contractors
Article 17: Illegal detention – detaining indefinitely, and without charge, American citizens and foreign captives (suspension of habeus)
Article 18: Torture – secretly authorizing and encouraging use of torture, as matter of official policy
June 9th, 2008 at 9:32 pmMaybe the oil sellers in the administration want the price of oil to be high.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:32 pmWe must domestically drill to ease gas prices.
There are thousand of capped wells the oil companies could use, but won’t, because it’s too sulfurous, and they would have to spend a little on upgrading refineries to handle it. Drilling off the coasts is a scam, for the easily-gulled.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:32 pm#18 Torture…
June 9th, 2008 at 9:33 pmDaryll, you pathetic excuse for a reasoning being, by the time any evolved human needs your opinion you will be throwing snowballs at Satan’s imps. They are so hard to keep from messing with your stuff.
We don’t need your delusions, your prejudice or your bloodthirsty beast of a God. Do the world a favor and go get the help you so obviously need.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:34 pmThey are already drilling in Alaska.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:34 pmThey want to drill in ANWR, which has very little oil reserves comparatively.
Big Oil, and Big Guns, want to build an energy and military city there on that stretch of coastline when the ice melts enough for year round shipping.
And Daryll, the Rupture of your pseudo little world is coming. Prepare ye, I say, for the end is nigh.
So Daryll, What do ya say? Why not you and me go have a personal talk and leave the grownups alone? I have been having really serious mixed feelings about my actions and deeds.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:34 pm#19 Rendition…
June 9th, 2008 at 9:36 pmDARYLL, SHUT UP, AND GO TO HELL.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:37 pmIGNORE Daryll. A moron AND TROLL!!
June 9th, 2008 at 9:38 pmUm, this makes Bush the second president in a row to be officially impeached. There goes the legacy thingy…
And don’t blow jobs seem awfully quaint, now, by comparison?
June 9th, 2008 at 9:38 pmThey’re setting the table as we speak, Daryll, and the sacraments have never looked so good!
Repent, ye viper of the corporate temple! Throw off the shackles of your greed and contempt! Your net of security rips asunder! Repent and free thyself!
June 9th, 2008 at 9:40 pmThat good for Kucinich to step up to the plate. But only one problem: The current Vice President of the United States and President of the U.S. Senate is Dick Cheney.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:41 pm>We must prevent them from continuing to build WMD’s to >attack Israel
Number of times Iran has attacked any country in the last 100 years, Daryll?
How about the number of times Israel has invaded other countries?
June 9th, 2008 at 9:41 pmAfter Wexler called for an additional 75,000 signatures on his petition to introduce impeachment, I knew he was a joke - probably did it for nothing other than money.
Now Dennis Kucinich on the other hand :)
June 9th, 2008 at 9:42 pmIt’s always amazing how we get trolls like Daryll that…
JUST
CANNNOT

June 9th, 2008 at 9:42 pmLet the WH fight back. Impeachment is called for.
Both Cheney and Bush have to go!
No nuking a sovereign nation. No nuking anyone!
They only need a simple majority to move it forward. Thank god someone is doing something.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:43 pmDaryll, you great gob of useless protoplasm. Potential new drilling sites, including ANWAR, would ease prices by, at most, 4%. Peak production from existing wells, including those capped to keep prices artificially high, would reduce gas prices by 18-22 percent. Operating existing refineries at full capacity would reduce gas prices by 13-17%. Try looking up figures somewhere besides the KJV.
And stop using your moldy book to justify craapping in my yard and befouling the air and water. You brainless twits don’t have the right and we will not let you get away with killing the planet.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:43 pmDarryll,
So, how is production of ANWR oil at the earliest in 2022 going to help your gas prices?
Gonna get you some more good ol’ tanker captains like the dude from the Exxon Valdez to haul it?
You crack me up, sometimes.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:44 pmGetting anything out of the ground from ANWR will be 10 - 15 years, dumba$$.
Go back to church, Daryll and take your other brothers Darryl and Darrel with you.
God, what a tool! DUMBA$$!

Great! If you do not support domestic drilling, as gas prices continue to increase, keep silent because you feel that we should create greenhouse energy alternatives, which will cost us even more money. Wow, based on this comment, all left wingnuts should be locked up in a Jail Cell. Anyway, the democrats do not have the guts to bring impeachment to the table because the WH will vigorously fight back.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:35 pm
Don’t you find it the least bit galling , if not outright despicable , that a bunch of chickenhawks only believes in fighting themselves when accused of misdeeds they have actually committed ?
June 9th, 2008 at 9:44 pm>oompa loompa.
Daryll has always been very touchy about “little people” ever since his disease ridden wife stared in that adult film “Follow the Yellow D#Ck toad”.
Daryll, you think god approves of you making fun of people
because of somethign they cant help, like thier height?
> “Support the drilling in Alaska”!!!
Ha. Political ploy eh? I guess gawd loves it when we destoy animals and plants in mass quantities just so we can make a few bucks. Daryll do you think that supply issues are the only thing that makes the price of a commodity rise?
June 9th, 2008 at 9:44 pm#20 Imprisoning Children

Could you refer us to the passage where Jesus is quoted as being okay with slowly destroying the planet to help another human being , dipshit ?
June 9th, 2008 at 9:46 pmDaryll’s real name is KKKarl. Or he is being paid by Rove and Co. Go away now. We are not buying it.

June 9th, 2008 at 9:47 pmDrilling in Alaska? may as well wish for magic pixie fairies to tickle your scrotum at night. But hey, how great it must be, sucking that big government teat for a living, huh? Funny, how in my family, every winger turns out to be a Government teat-sucker or they have spent umpteen years safe ensconced in some middle-management job in a giant, faceless corporation. Sad to see you’re no different, but really not surprised.

Right, Daryll, where in the bible did it say that we should fill this world with pollution and poison just so we could
drive our SUV’s around all day with the windows down and the A/C cranked?
If jesus was alive he’d be turning in his grave to know that idiots like you were claiming to speak for him.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:49 pmOk, everyone, take one poke at Daryll, and then ignore him.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:49 pmBack on topic:
Is anyone else reminded of the scenes in “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” where they were reading the impossibly long list of charges against Tuco? I keep getting this image of Dennis saying, “bowing up frogs with firecrackers. Branding frat boys…”
Oh wait. Bush did that and America knew it before he became President.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:49 pm#21 Misleading Congress about treats from Iran
June 9th, 2008 at 9:50 pmSo Darryll, got a new gig lined up for next January? Gonna hurt when your Repug company loses its contract. I am betting it is DoD or DoE. Both are at serious risk.

June 9th, 2008 at 9:52 pm>Imprisoning children. That is a big one.

Don’t get your hopes up my friend. The adminsitrations “top” legal minds have asserted the president has the right to sexually torture children. Imagine for a moment if a democrats lawyers were ever publicly put on the record as suggesting that. But the Bush mafia tell the media mafia what to do and they obey. Almost all mainstream united states media these days is operated at a relative loss or nominal gain by defense companies that need a propaganda arm…

June 9th, 2008 at 9:53 pmDennis to the rescue again. He is not in my district in Ohio, but I will definitely volunteer next time he comes up for re-election.
Hopefully, Obama will find a place for him in his cabinet. I think he has more than earned it. When others walked away, he presented the first articles of impeachment against Cheney. He never backs down. Way to go Dennis.
Thank you for always trying to uphold the Constitution..
June 9th, 2008 at 9:54 pmI love Darryl. I really do. Still I just went out of my way to access this. Daryll will amuse us another day. Can someone with less of a natural science and more of a relevent background suggest where and how this could go.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:55 pmQuoting Sy Hersh now, meaning at trial, he could be called to testify.
Larissa!!!
Now there’s a worthwhile citation!!
It must be an honor to be cited in this historic document.
June 9th, 2008 at 9:57 pmDaryll in your spear time, if you would do a little research on your computer, you will find that United States has more oil that is being pumped from our soil each day than the amount oil that we are comsuming. This is not even counting the gas and oil in Gulf waters, this is land production only.
And one more thing, I have a good friend just came back from Iraq after several tours in that hell hole. His first words after making it back to the states, “it was all about OIL”.He had a lay over in Kuwait at one of station before coming home.At the US run center, were all equipment and etc, arrive, this is were he saw miles and miles stock piles of large oil and gas pipe lines, just being stored and guard by our own America troops. So just what does say about your Repug friends in the White House? Bush was a Dead Beat Texas and still a Dead Beat in Washington.

Maybe you should read the real book of Jesus life, The Essene/Gnostic writings, and not the politically expedient “Bible”. The Essenes were environmentalists, vegetarians, and believed in the equality of men and women. Sounds to me like the Bible and its writers hijacked these humanistic ideas, and replaced it with the template for modern Rednecks, Klansmen, Racists, woman haters, Republicans, and Neo-Cons. A peaceful vision replaced with a bloodbath and FEAR.

June 9th, 2008 at 10:02 pmTomorrow every single one of you needs to get on the phone to as many of the members of the House Judiciary committee and ask their staffers this question:
“Can you actually conceive the idea of a former White House Press Secretary telling the world that a President went to war for lies and fabrications and the House of Representatives who as the body which is duty bound to bring charges for high crimes might do absolutely nothing about it?
Is the House of Representatives member of the Judiciary committee going to obfuscate and refute the testimony of a loyal member of the White House inner circle and many others starting with Richard Clarke and Paul O’Neill including memos and other revelations even those by military commanders by refusing to act in the best interest of this nation by bringing George Bush and Dick Cheney to account for crimes of death and destruction of blood and treasure? ”
I spent one hour this evening calling and these staffers are ripe for the plucking. Let their ears burn. Acting now is probably the only chance we might have for justice that is long overdue. Here is the list. Click on the name and dial the number. Burn those lines folks. Burn them.
June 9th, 2008 at 10:03 pmDon’t start turning cartwheels yet, folks…let’s remember that the vote to impeach the President and the vote to remove him from office are not one and the same. The Republican-majority 105th Congress, after all, succeeded in impeaching Clinton but failed to gather enough votes in order to remove him from office.
As much as I hate to say it, I very much doubt that Bush will be removed from office even if he is successfully impeached (and given how spineless and wishy-washy the majority of Democratic Congresscritters have shown themselves to be, even that is by no means guaranteed). Let’s remember that even if the House succeeds in impeaching Bush, the next step would involve trial by the Senate — led by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court (Roberts), the Vice President in his capacity as President of the Senate (Cheney), or the President pro tempore (Byrd). It seems highly unlikely that Byrd would be permitted to preside at the trial — and does anyone seriously think that there’s even a remote chance of Bush being removed from office by a two-third majority in the Senate, let alone in a trial presided over by either Cheney or Roberts?!? Surely you jest. If you believe that, as luck would have it, there’s this bridge across the East River here in New York City which I happen to know is being put up for sale at a very reasonable price e’en as we speak…
June 9th, 2008 at 10:05 pmWay to go kucinich, I only wish the rest of the congress had your back,
June 9th, 2008 at 10:05 pmI love Daryll as well. No other caricature here can excite such emotion in such short order. He’s not real as he describes himself, so no big deal.

June 9th, 2008 at 10:12 pmIt will pass the House and fail in the Senate because Democrats lack a real majority with “Traitor Joe” Lieberman as the deciding vote.
The time for justice against the Bush administration criminals will be when we have a real majority in both the House and Senate, Barack Obama as our President, and a bulldog Democratic Attorney General launching the full power of the federal government.
We have to VOTE our way to justice unfortunately.

June 9th, 2008 at 10:16 pmThe trick is for Robert Wexler and John Conyers to introduce articles of impeachment against Cheney tomorrow and get them both in one fell swoop. I agree with Ms.Joanne….whoops…Dennis Kucinich is on right now outlining his impeachable offenses against Bush. Later, TP buds!
June 9th, 2008 at 10:16 pmThe thugs in the crime family can’t steal via the mortgage lending scam any longer so they are manipulating the commodities markest for oil. This is not a supply/demand thing, it is the institutional investors buying and hoarding oil to jack up the price at the pump before they release. This is another reason deregulation is not good for us. They are doing the same thing Enron did with electicity with the oil markets. Cheney and his secret energy task force at work.
June 9th, 2008 at 10:21 pmDid ANYBODY catch articles 2 - 6? They must have been HUGE and I tuned in late… can’t find them online yet.
June 9th, 2008 at 10:25 pmBush, Cheney, Rove, Rumsfeld, Chertoff, and others in the Bush administration should all be thrown out of office (impeached, fired, whatever), but also all should be brought up on murder charges for what they did (or actually didn’t do) during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
This became clear in my mind upon reading the Salon(dot)com book review this past weekend with anecdotes by then Louisiana Governor Mary Landrieu about how Bush delayed sending federal disaster relief into Louisiana and New Orleans in he critical days following Katrina’s landfall in an attempt to blackmail her into giving up control over her state’s national guard units.
Further pieces of the puzzle (dots) fell into place today as I remembered:
1) A U.S.A.F. helicopter sent from Pensacola Florida to resupply an airbase outside New Orleans that was hit by Katrina had enough fuel left that the pilots (after being asked by someone local) headed to nearby New Orleans to rescue people stranded by floodwaters on rooftops. They flew dozens of rescue missions until they ran short on fuel, then headed back to Pensacola to refuel and return to continue rescue efforts. When these American hero pilots returned to base, though, they were severely reprimanded, and a black mark placed on their service record. One, I believe, even resigned his commission.
2) A U.S. Naval hospital ship sat off the Gulf Coast, close to New Orleans, during those first few critical days following Katrina. I believe some helicopter flights occurred, rescuing people off rooftops, but someone ordered this to stop, leaving many people still stranded.
3) The talking point that Louisianans deserved what they got because they’re all criminals is belied by the response of Louisianans with boats to the west of New Orleans who didn’t bear the brunt of Katrina. Several hundred of these true Christians, good Samaritans headed to New Orleans with their boats to help rescue their fellow citizens from rooftops. They were turned away.
Get the picture?
People died in New Orleans because Bush, Cheney, Rove, Chertoff, Rumsfeld, etal. denied the urgently needed federal disaster relief to Louisianans in the immediate aftermath of Katrina, while blocking attempts by anyone else trying to help. But these culture of corruption Republicans (Murderers) helped the Republican governors in the neighboring states of Mississippi and Alabama.
Underlying evil motivation and message: If you support Democrats then the Republicans will do what is necessary to see that you and your children suffer, and maybe even die. Many Louisianans got the message and voted a Republican to be their next governor. Mission Accomplished!! Murderous Mission Accomplished!!!!
June 9th, 2008 at 10:25 pmDaryll say something:

When they got in, Big Oil had something else in mind and clamped the hammer down on the Neo-Con idealogues in the Administration and their puppet boy Bremer. June 10th, 2008 at 12:56 amBut, Mr. Sockpuppet, if you’ve been paying attention you would realize that, much like Scotty, the reputation and character of one telling the truth doesn’t matter. The American public is starting to pay attention and, by most polls, three-quarters have learned to recognize the obvious truth on their own. When someone states it publicly? It enters the public record and becomes fact.
Deal with it Mr. Sockpuppet. Your idols have cracked and your heroes are turning cannibal. It sure appears that there are enough Americans (Citizens of the United States. If I offend any american from a different country? Please forgive me.) aware of the problems to begin the cure.
And you and your ilk will become the “Col. Kilnks” of a new generation. Followers of a corrupt, irrational, destructive philosophy who are reduced to comic figures who damn well should have known better. Loyal Bushies are abandoning ship.

Name me ONE redeeming quality of LYING.
Name me ONE redeeming quality of FRAUD.
Name me ONE redeeming quality of TREASON.
Name me ONE redeeming quality of MURDER.
Name me ONE redeeming quality, JUST ONE!
Your defense of this Administration means one of two things. Please show us the redeeming quality behind torture, lying, fraud, treason, murder, etc. How are these crimes moral, in ANY way. It’s either that or you support crime.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, unless Daryll proves me wrong, he’s a Fascist sympathiser.

June 10th, 2008 at 2:29 amTalking to Darryl? Big mistake. He’s a troll whose main mission is to get people to treat him as though he really has something to add to a discussion. He doesn’t.
He succeeds in his mission because others pay attention to him.
NPR had an active discussion board going until contributors began reponding to meaningless drivel as if it were not only real but worthy of rebuttal. Now it has turned into a bland mutual masturbation circle.
If you want to see these threads survive take Sam Goldman’s advice: “Don’t pay any attention to him. Don’t even ignore him.”

June 10th, 2008 at 4:47 amI had to stay up late just to make sure, but as of 4am cst. no mention of the impeachment on NBC, CBS, ABC’s websites. Even more disapointing, no mention on BBC, Le Monde, or Der Spiegel.
What story could be more newsworthy than the highly unpopular US president having articles of impeachment introduced against him??? You would be surprised, check it out for yourselves. I hope I am proved wrong….
June 10th, 2008 at 4:49 amStovob,

But obviously he only cares if they are white Americans. If they are brown and live in the middle east and have lots of oil (Iraq and Iran), then by all means, the President should kill them all immediately, without authority, and in the most gruesome way possible.
Jesus WANTS US soldiers to slaughter innocent women and children, like they are doing in Iraq! It’s in the bible!
See, people like Darryl HATE the rule of law. Christianists like him want their every move to be ordered by human overlords that claim to be representatives of their god. The evidence to back this up is Darryl’s demands that his president attack Iran.
It is ILLEGAL to attack another country! It is ILLEGAL to LIE in order to trick a nation into attacking another. Iran is within their legal rights to do what they are doing, we have NO legal right to interfere.
But the Rule of Law means nothing to Christians, lying to start a war on women and children is OK with Christians like Darryl. They don’t care one bit about the law. More evidence is the right’s love of Bush no matter how flagrantly he violates our sacred Constitution and all known US laws.

The Democratic Leadership is controlled by their GOP overlords. Pelosi and Reid are Republican operatives masquerading as Democrats. Their duty is to stymie the implementation of any of the core principles of the Democratic Party and further the GOP agenda to legitimize martial law in the US.
The Main Stream Media are also controlled by the far-right: why else is this news totally censored?
