These idiots take pride in their low ratings, it makes them feel special and exclusive. They feel they are being persecuted and that makes them even more resolute.

I made a claim in response to your claim.

My claim was that Rasmussen is well-known (i.e. widely shared opinion) to typically (i. e. often enough to be an established trend) poll Republicans higher than other polling organizations (fairly explanatory, no?)

To support that, I offered a sample of typical comparative polling data that showed the trend that i described. I offered a fairly authoritative opinion as to why this might be. And then, to help you get your mind around it, I offered a forum discussion from a right-wing site that described the same thing.

I’m not really interested in spending the time to synthesize dozens of comparative poll results across the last few years (although I’m confident I could) that demonstrate further this noticeable trend, because I’m also fairly certain that you would dismiss THAT evidence, too. Besides, you’re really not worth the time.

But i would like to point out yet again, that while you have been whining about me proving my statement, and then whining about how unconvincing you find my evidence, the only “proof” that you have offered to buttress your original “baseless statement” is how many news agencies quot “hariss” polling, as opposed to zogby, rasmussen, or gallup polling?.thats my proof of its low-key nature.

If that is what you consider proof, then either you have to accept what I’ve offered as overwhelming proof, or you have to admit that you hold me to a higher standard than you hold yourself.

If the latter, then that’s understandable, since you’re so limited in your intellectual capacity. But still, it’s not something i’d want to admit.

Could the reason be that impeachment must be initiated in the House of Representatives and not the Senate? Could the reason be that our next President is a Senator, not a member of the House? Could it be that you are unaware of these facts? Or could it be that you’re just throwing talking points around to see what sticks?

Yeah, no sh!t, sherlock. He’s about as righty-biased as they get in the blogosphere. I figured a) you would trust pajamasmedia more than The Atlantic or RealClearPolitics and b) it would demonstrate that it’s not just the Left that has noticed a rightward tilt to Rasmussen’s numbers.

I offered you sample data (from RealClearPolitics). Small sample, sure. But it demonstrates my point. I’m confident a wider sample would confirm, since I have often compared similar poll results at the website you linked to earlier, pollingreport.com, and found that Rasmussen does indeed typically (not exclusively, but typically) poll higher for Bush, for example.

I offered you explanations of methodology. I even offered you opinion from a right-wing website.

All you asked for was proof of my statement. I think I’ve provided evidence that Rasmussen is “well known to typically poll Republicans and Republican issues higher than other polling organizations”.

You, on the other hand, have repeated your assertion that Harris is somehow substandard, yet have offered not a shred of proof besides your whining.

Rasmussen from start 2005 has weighted to make Rep and Dem party ID equal at 37%. Yet his table of unweighted data since start 2004 shows that in every month, the Dem figure exceeded the Rep figure, often significantly. This weighting introduces a persistent bias which can be quantified if you know the cross-tab data.

Nothing conclusive, except that the perception of Rasmussen’s conservative leaning is widely shared and varied. Enjoy.
