Bush dines with Rupert Murdoch.

Bush dines with Rupert Murdoch.

Yesterday, President Bush “arrived at Downing Street for a private dinner hosted by Gordon Brown and attended by Rupert Murdoch, a clutch of ministers and a mini-faculty of historians.” Thousands of Britons turned out to protest the President, chanting, “George Bush terrorist” and “Arrest George Bush.”

Did you have raw tomatoes for your dinner, OF?

  2. Zimzone says:

Murdoch? You mean the guy predicting an Obama win in November? Did anyone tell Bush about this prediction?

Bush has played Britain for a fool in Iraq, and the British public know it. The strongest protests on this trip occurred in Britain, even though Blair is history.

Bush would be much better off polishing his diplomatic skills and leave the memoir writing alone.

Bush, the cowboy, the oaf, the stupid, is enjoying the food in Eurpoe, being impressed with white asparagus.

I am uplifted to see the Brits have the backbone to take to the streets, appalled anyone would have dinner with Murdoch (what were historians doing there? Is this a joke?)and completely dismayed that we have sent the Kucinich/Wexler impeachment efforts off to committee without even a hearing.

I am more than a little alarmed that almost no one seems to realize that if we do not fetter both Bush and Cheney with impeachment proceedings, AND FAST,there will be bombs dropping on Iran and everyone in America will be wakened from their slumber and naivite’, saying, “Hey! What happpened?” What will have happened, is that we didn’t bother to pay attention until it was too late. The Brits have apparently already figured that out, although Brown is going to risk his good standing by sending more troops to Afghanistan? Brilliant.

Here’s the menu which awaits your return to the United States, George W. Bush:

What have we become.?.Where is the outrage.? How bad doe’s it have to get before the public rise up and demand justice.?….Question’s I have been asking for 7 and a half year’s….No answer’s yet and the brit’s are doing what should be a constant here at home…..Blessings

  8. Bob says:

At least someone takes to the streets to protest bush the criminal. More lazy American outsourcing, foreigners doing the job Americans don’t want to do. Since he has broken international law and war crimes, there is hope for justice on the world stage.

  9. misshusseinmolly says:

Wow — Bush seems to be galvanizing the protesters everywhere he goes. Except for the places where they have already protested Bush so much they’ve grown tired of it.

Is there any place on the continent where he’s being showered with flowers and candy? I wonder if even the Albanians are still fans.

  10. Tawdry says:

Just how many crazed-looking London cops does it take to beat the crowd back? George Bush causes problems everywhere he goes. On January 20 let’s all party like it was 1999!

  11. Daddy-O says:

And like any war criminal, George W. Bush has this sort of reception to look forward to for the rest of his addled, petulant, perverted life.

He’ll sit down in Crawford, and he’ll start drinking again. Bet on it.

  12. Daddy-O says:

Two questions: Has Bush even sent a Cabinet secretary to Iowa yet?

And has Bush declared Iowa flood spots disaster areas yet? Or has the Iowa governor not filled out the proper paperwork yet?

Please, God, tell me what we did to have you foist this man upon us. Please.

  13. Zimzone says:

    Daddy-O,
I’ve not heard of any Federal response to Iowa yet.

FEMA just gave away $85 million of New Orleans money…not to N.O., of course, but I don’t believe Bush knows Iowa exists.

McCrash doesn’t have it on his radar screen, either, because he can’t figure out a way to raise money while viewing floods.

  14. nanlichi says:

Daddy-O, I’ll take your bet. Not the drinking part, that’s a given, but as soon as the POS is out of office, he will have no need for the Crawford prop. Soft little hands like Bush never did fit on a “ranch”.

  15. theswan says:

It heart warming to see people in the streets of Britian. And America sleeps not even knowing that Bush is there.

  16. Zimzone says:

    satirev, #22, well said, indeed.
As a veteran of protests in another decade, the landscape has drastically changed. I’m not sure what would really wake the sheeple at this point. In fact, I’m not aware of any organized protests anywhere in the USA for quite awhile now.

    Will it be $5/gal gasoline?

Will it be massive flooding with no Federal relief?

    Will it be $10/lb. rice?

I’d like to think that Obama can ‘harness’ enough support to drill right into these issues upon assuming the Presidency, but reality tells me to not hold my breath.

  17. GSD says:

Bush: Obama was filling sandbags while I was dipping tea-bags.

Some of those Brit Cops are smiling. They’re actually getting a kick out of beating people. Sickening.

  20. 5th Estate says:

Make no mistake, the UK has its Bush supporters too (just check out the comment sections where provided by the London Times, Guardian, BBC, Telegraph, Daily Mail–and a few of the columnists too) but I reckon them to be “15-percenters”.

Having spent over half my life now in the US, on recent trips back to the UK I’ve been mistaken for being wholly American but never suffered because of it in the slightest.

The Brits have a “socialist” streak that I guess is due to being a small island nation that “sinks or swims together” so despite the shift from dogmatic socialism in the past few decades, the parliament and the people seem to maintain a sustainable balance of political power–there’s too much turbulent history for either side to ignore. When Brits actually protest it’s usually time for the government to pay attention.

  21. liberal traitor says:

Hopefully this will be what Georgie-boy does with the remainder of his time in office. If so, we might just make it to January 20th without WWIII erupting.

Yup. It happens all over. There’s an element of that in every police force. The UK police has changed a lot in my lifetime–mostly for the better I think but some of it no better than what I consider the worst which IMHO was in the 70’s.

The crook and the kingpin dining at #10–what a world! What a world!

    For dessert: Marie Antoinette cake.

After hours cocktails and a floor show in the Tower.

  26. MapleStreet says:

Can I safely assume that the historians specialized in history at least 20 years old – so as not to rock the boat ?

Remember, Shrub will be vindicated by history and seen as the greatest president ever (well at least since Pierce).

  27. sectionop92 says:

Bush has always wanted a large, natural water park he didn’t have to pay for, but could use whenever he wanted. Splish-splash everyone! Maybe he’ll bring his “friends” to BBQ and play slap ass. I bet he gave Rupert an invite and Rupert had to think about coming down off his cross for this RNC bash.

  28. SP Biloxi says:

Brits to Bush: “George Bush terrorist” and “Arrest George Bush.”

LOL! And that’s Bush’s legacy when he turns over the keys to the next Prez and walks out the door come January 20, 2009.

  29. sacopenapa says:

I hope they get food poisening!

  30. Hurrr says:

Who cares? This is such a bad thing! I think the Enquirer has more relevance than this site does.

  31. republicanSScareme says:

The stench at that dinner must have been awful.
