A new World Public Opinion poll of 20 nations finds that just 2 percent say that they have “a lot” or “some” confidence that President Bush will do “the right thing regarding world affairs.” Bush ranks below Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, but just edges out Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf:

WHOAA! That’s gotta smart!
June 16th, 2008 at 3:49 pmStop slandering America - Bush said to stop! Bush was heard asking the British: “Aren’t the Supremes a singing act? I always liked their music.”. Bush is a blundering oaf; no wonder laura has Xanax flooding her pain. Maybe she could share some drugs with the rest of us?
June 16th, 2008 at 3:51 pmSo, where did Amy Winehouse finish on this list?
June 16th, 2008 at 3:53 pmHow much do you think Bush won from his buddy Musharraf on their wager?
June 16th, 2008 at 3:54 pmA new World Public Opinion poll of 20 nations finds that just 2 percent say that they have “a lot” or “some” confidence that President Bush will do “the right thing regarding world affairs.”
I think this quote is a misreading of the poll results - it’s not 2% of the nations or individuals polled that have some/a lot of confidence in Bush - it’s 2 of the 20 countries (USA and Nigeria) that had a majority or plurality of people saying they had either a lot or some confidence in Bush. The world average, not counting respondents from the USA, was 23%. You might want to fix this in the text.
June 16th, 2008 at 3:55 pmI’ve always considered myself a citizen of the world. Now I feel justified. Thanks, Shrub!
June 16th, 2008 at 3:55 pmBadmoodman, lol…
How about the Bush Whine House? Or would that be slandering?
Pander Bears & Whine Houses, how Cheneyesque!
June 16th, 2008 at 3:57 pmOh man, that’s embarrassing. :o/
June 16th, 2008 at 3:59 pmOoops - there I go, slandering America again!!
My bad.
June 16th, 2008 at 4:00 pmMusharraf removed the democraticaly elected president, removed the top judges, put his country on a very dangerous neoconn road, almost got into a war with Indian then Afghanistan, major alqaeda issues - but I still think he’s much better than Bush
>>So, where did Amy Winehouse finish on this list?
June 16th, 2008 at 4:02 pmDrunk in Russia - and still much better than Bush to:

It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so embarrassing.
PEACE
June 16th, 2008 at 4:03 pmThis pretty much proves Intelligent Design doesn’t mandate itself in Democracies or ‘free’ elections, eh?
Why can’t the Party of ID come up with anyone intelligent?
June 16th, 2008 at 4:03 pmCue the trolls trying to claim this proves TP hates America in 3, 2, 1…
June 16th, 2008 at 4:05 pmI don;t trust Ahmedinijad to do ANYTHING good, but as he doesn’t yield executive power in Iran and the Iranians don’t have a $12 trillion economy and a $600 Billion defence/attack budget, I’m not personally that bothered by him. He’s like the Mayor of Tehran, basically.
June 16th, 2008 at 4:05 pmWhat is up with the Azerbajanis? They seem pretty confident in lots of people…I think of them as fierce warrior types, I guess they do it with a sunny attitude.
June 16th, 2008 at 4:08 pmI trust the Iranian and the Chinese governmets. I don’t trust the USA’s government. Around the globe people are feeling the same way. Nobody like to be taken for a ‘ride’. Nobody likes to be lied to. WMD, Iraq/Alqueida fiction, 9/11, ‘Democracy promotion’… The USA still have to come to term with the demage this criminal and imoral administration has done to itself.
June 16th, 2008 at 4:09 pmSo, Dubya, how’s that legacy thing workin’ out for you so far?
Heh Heh

We can only hope. It has been a slow few days for the truly zany ones
June 16th, 2008 at 4:10 pm“Trust Bush? Abosolutely!” said the Republican who had just arranged a job interview for his young son with John Waynce Gacy Construction.
June 16th, 2008 at 4:13 pmBush. is. Pathetic.
June 16th, 2008 at 4:18 pmWell, what do you expect from this liar. Would you trust him, I sure wouldn’t.
Funny, though, that Mr Leisure Suit Larry from Iran was ahead of him, that is very telling.

Intelligence must evolve.
June 16th, 2008 at 4:28 pmAnd if McCain wins the presidency..he will be below Musharraf of Pakistan…
June 16th, 2008 at 4:30 pm‘meaning : rated zero to do the right thing…’
It`s tough being a FACSIST nowadays, isn`t it SHRUB?
June 16th, 2008 at 4:37 pm“World trusts Ahmadinejad more than Bush ‘to do the right thing regarding world affairs.”
I trust Zippy the Pinhead more than I trust Bush…
June 16th, 2008 at 4:39 pmOddly enough. Most of them speak English better than Bush too.
June 16th, 2008 at 4:50 pmSorry Bush, if you can’t beat the president of Germany, the game is over.
June 16th, 2008 at 4:53 pmSo, how is it that we keep electing these putz? (WHAT is the plural of “putz”?)
June 16th, 2008 at 5:00 pmholy cow, how much do we suck?
other than alot?
June 16th, 2008 at 5:07 pmI side with the rest of the world.
June 16th, 2008 at 5:09 pmBush IS the biggest terrorist threat.
Hey, it’s just the world. Who cares what, you know, people think.
June 16th, 2008 at 5:25 pmThis I believe.
June 16th, 2008 at 5:26 pmMcDerelict standing a chance of getting a vote, not so much.
I trust Zippy the Pinhead more than I trust Bush
June 16th, 2008 at 5:30 pmWhats the difference?
Zippy is smarter.
June 16th, 2008 at 5:34 pmThis shouldn’t surprise anyone who is not addicted to Rush and FAUX Noise. Who has invaded and occupied the most countries? Who has killed the most civilians in the past eight years? I rest my case.
June 16th, 2008 at 5:46 pmSo with Bush retiring, its up to Ahmadinejad to restore honor and dignity to the WH ?
June 16th, 2008 at 6:11 pmBeside the well-deserved mistrust for Mr. Bush, it is interesting that only the UN Sec. General barely eked out approval by more than half the nations polled; none of the other world leaders came close.
Is this indicative that all the world leaders in question are sorely lacking in diplomatic abilities? Bush is simply among the worst of a bad lot, from the looks of it. Is this a symptom of the heightened divisiveness of the world in recent years?
Does this, in turn, reflect the unprecedented them-against-us mentality that results when the world’s only superpower becomes an arrogant schoolyard bully, instead of taking the opportunity afforded by its position of influence to work toward uniting the countries and peoples of the world?
June 16th, 2008 at 6:13 pmPresident Obama’s first act should be to publicly apologize to the world for the last eight years. Tell them that Bush did not represent Americans or America’s ideals, beg their forgiveness for the atrocities of the Petulant Punk.
We would gain a lot of respect back. But I have to think that most people understand this already and it’s Bush they hate, not America and Americans. If we screw up again though, and elect McSenile, we deserve all the contempt we get.

SAME OLE TWISTING OF THE FACTS!
DISENGENUOUS HUMANS ALL!
June 16th, 2008 at 7:12 pmOutsourcing and H1B visas apparently paid off…
June 16th, 2008 at 7:56 pmIndia sells out with 45% confidence for bush.
LOL! That real sad for Bush. Next Bin Laden [the man that we can’t seem to find for the past 7 years] will out beat Bush.
June 16th, 2008 at 8:16 pm37 Mr. Squirrel:
My fear is that Shrub has so destablized the pack that no one will trust anyone else. In short, one bad apple sometimes does spoil the whole bushel.
June 16th, 2008 at 10:11 pmjohnsom,
Who cares what you think. You’re just another apologist loser.
June 16th, 2008 at 11:02 pmHey, did anyone else notice that this story on Yahoo! News, per Reuters, seems to have gotten it wrong?!?
Mon Jun 16, 4:07 PM ET
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President George W. Bush is ranked only slightly above the rulers of Pakistan and Iran as one of the least-trusted leaders in the world, a survey released on Monday showed.

Only a Bush can outrank his best buddy forever, DICTATOR Musharraf…
.
June 17th, 2008 at 2:12 amSigh. A fun as Bush Bashing is, please do it right.
1) 2 / 20 is not 2%, it’s 10%
2) That’s two countries and the graph doesn’t indicate country sizes.
3) It isn’t a relative measure of trust since they weren’t asked do you trust X more than Y.
4) From the actual text:
Ahmadinejad

Bush
http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/ pipa/ images/ jun08/ WPO_Leaders_Jun08_graph2.jpg
Excluding the US numbers, 23% have “some” or “a lot of” confidence in Bush.
Not good for Bush at all and the truth is damming enough, why lie to make it sound worse than it already is?
June 17th, 2008 at 9:24 amWell it is about the same as asking the question, “which is more correct, an atomic clock, or a broken clock that has stopped at Noon?”
Ahmadinejad can be trusted to press that nuke button for sure. And he will do it. He thinks he will go to heaven etc etc.
Bush on the other hand is more confused.
July 7th, 2008 at 5:31 pmThey’re just alike. They both want to blow up countries and take control of the world. Both are nuts. Both are power hungry. The difference is Bush has already began his attack and Ahmadinjed hasn’t.
