They’re just alike. They both want to blow up countries and take control of the world. Both are nuts. Both are power hungry. The difference is Bush has already began his attack and Ahmadinjed hasn’t.

Well it is about the same as asking the question, “which is more correct, an atomic clock, or a broken clock that has stopped at Noon?”

Ahmadinejad can be trusted to press that nuke button for sure. And he will do it. He thinks he will go to heaven etc etc.

Bush on the other hand is more confused.

Sigh. A fun as Bush Bashing is, please do it right.

1) 2 / 20 is not 2%, it’s 10%
2) That’s two countries and the graph doesn’t indicate country sizes.
3) It isn’t a relative measure of trust since they weren’t asked do you trust X more than Y.

A new World Public Opinion poll of 20 nations finds that just 2 percent say that they have “a lot” or “some” confidence that President Bush will do “the right thing regarding world affairs.”

I think this quote is a misreading of the poll results – it’s not 2% of the nations or individuals polled that have some/a lot of confidence in Bush – it’s 2 of the 20 countries (USA and Nigeria) that had a majority or plurality of people saying they had either a lot or some confidence in Bush. The world average, not counting respondents from the USA, was 23%. You might want to fix this in the text.

President Obama’s first act should be to publicly apologize to the world for the last eight years. Tell them that Bush did not represent Americans or America’s ideals, beg their forgiveness for the atrocities of the Petulant Punk.

We would gain a lot of respect back. But I have to think that most people understand this already and it’s Bush they hate, not America and Americans. If we screw up again though, and elect McSenile, we deserve all the contempt we get.

Beside the well-deserved mistrust for Mr. Bush, it is interesting that only the UN Sec. General barely eked out approval by more than half the nations polled; none of the other world leaders came close.

Is this indicative that all the world leaders in question are sorely lacking in diplomatic abilities? Bush is simply among the worst of a bad lot, from the looks of it. Is this a symptom of the heightened divisiveness of the world in recent years?

Does this, in turn, reflect the unprecedented them-against-us mentality that results when the world’s only superpower becomes an arrogant schoolyard bully, instead of taking the opportunity afforded by its position of influence to work toward uniting the countries and peoples of the world?
