Kucinich vows more impeachment articles.»

In a new interview with the Washington Post, Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) said that he will be giving the House Judiciary Committee 30 days to act on his 35 articles of impeachment against President Bush, otherwise he will go back to the House floor with double as many:

“The minute the leadership said ‘this is dead on arrival’ I said that I hope they believe in life after death; because I’m coming back with it,” Kucinich vowed in an interview with the Sleuth this week. “It’s not gonna die. Because I’ll come back with more articles. Not 35, but perhaps 60 articles.

Kucinich is almost the sole defender of our Constitution. I have donated to his Congressional candidacy because he is defending all of us.

  2. foolme1ns Says:

Thank God for Dennis Kucinich. Justice must be served, and if Nancy Pelosi refuses to do her job, let her be the first to fall!!!!

    She makes me sick!!!

  3. dixie blood Says:

God bless you Mr. Kucinich!!! At least one stands against evil!!!

  4. upside99 Says:

I wonder what would happen if this was on major news channels instead of C-SPAN?

Ya think any of the articles would stick with the public?

NAW, didn’t think so. But it was a thought.

  5. crooksNliars Says:

At least someone is saying what those other pansies are too afraid to say.

  6. StratRat Says:

I hate to say it, but they ignored the first 35 articles, what are they gonna do with 60? Kucinich is a hero - and he has a hot wife. You go Dennis!!!

We shall enjoy a fine discussion after the November elections and again after President Obama is inaugurated.

Life will be just one new experience after another, Tanq. I promise!

Moonbat? Really? All the talking point limbaugh gives you and……that is all you got? Really? God bless home schooling. Makes a person an idiot without even leaving home.

Moonbat? I’d rather be whatever you said - as opposed to a traitor to your country. You are scared, we get it. Go back under the covers and wait for your milk and cookies. Let the grown-ups run the show for a while.

    Moonbat? That’s it?

It sounds like McGrampa needs a nap and diaper change because he’s vewwy [sic] agitated. We’ll look for a pacifier so he can stop crying, therefore, we can resolve real issues within our society.

  10. had enough Says:

    Thank You Dennis Kucinich!

Being one of the very few Constitutional abiding Congress persons, you deserve a job under the new Obama administration. If not Atty. Gen, then a new post such as Sec of Peace.

Hey Daryll, what are some ‘real’ issues? Not a President complicit in rendering the Constitution a piece of toilet paper? Invading and occupying a sovereign country? Commiting treason by outing a covert CIA agent and trying to cover that up?

Give us some of your examples, OK?

  12. robbez_92107 Says:

Wow. Daryll skipped a gay thread to “contribute” to this one.

therefore, we can resolve real issues within our society.

When a reich-wing GOPig wants to talk about “real issues” that means flag burning and gay marriage.

  17. bluestatedon Says:

Maybe Kucinich can turn his attention to Blackwater next. TPM links to an article in a NC newspaper about Blackwater wanting to have a suit filed against it by survivors of BW employees killed in Afghanistan to be tried under Islamic law, not U.S. law.

So I guess this means we’re fighting the dirty Islamists to preserve our way of life so that we can resort to Islamic law when things get tight, right?

How about four thousand plus articles of Impeachment of Bush, one for every American soldier that has died in this illegal criminal war and occupation of imperial colonial aggression against Iraq?

  21. Bilbo Hussein Baggins Says:

You gotta love Dennis Kucinich. I say they kick Pelosi to the curb and make Dennis Speaker of the House. Then maybe something would actually get done.

  22. StratRat Says:

    THATS A REAL ISSUES.

Ya know….Sometimes we don’t have to write a syllable to get our point across. Thanks Daryll.

  23. Dr. Hussein Matt Says:

    Daryll Says:
or example, ANWAR. We need to produce more oil to reduce the cost of gas for consumers. THATS A REAL ISSUES.

What about the 68 million acres already leased to oil companies that have gone unexplored? Why would the oil companies be allowed to hoard more land if there are still 68 million acres they haven’t touched? Are you playing stupid or are you really that obtuse?

  24. Buckie Boy Says:

rogersed up the arse, why would we expect the repulsiscums to uphold the law?

Repukes are Party before Country, as you have shown in your lame posts many times.

  25. upside99 Says:

Uhhh Daryll, IF we began operations tomorrow in ANWR, it would be 2030 before any oil would hit the refineries. AND it may reduce the cost of OIL by 2-3 DOLLARS when in full production which would be another 10 years. And that won’t help you much at the pump with your SUV.

Sorry to throw water on your little myth.

NAW, didn’t think so. But it was a thought.

Actually, I think it would stick with the public. I think that most of the “lot information” voters out there have no idea the number of laws that Bush and Company have broken.

I truly fell that if Articles of Impeachment were brought against Bush and Cheney, they would both be convicted and impeached. If he was under Articles of Impeachment Bush could not claim EP, the Democrats could compel people to testify and we could finally get to the bottom of the crimes they have committed. Once they were all out there for the world to see, no one would dare vote not to impeach them.

This Congress will go down in history as the worst Congress in history along with Bush being the worst President in history. And Nancy Pelosi will go down in history as the worst Speaker of the House ever!

  28. upside99 Says:

And Daryll, in Post number 29, that is 2-3 dollars a BARREL, of crude, not a gallon of refined gasoline.

  29. Bilbo Hussein Baggins Says:

    Tanqueray Says:
If you don’t like these 35, I’ll make up 60 more! What a jug eared idiot. He is your guy, the face of the MOONBAT party.

As anyone besides me noticed how lame the trolls have become. They have nothing. Since they have nothing they act like four year olds throwing out petty taunts.

Get used to it troll. The Democrats are going to be your master for the next 8 years guaranteed. Hopefully you head will explode somewhere along the line.

You really are too stupid for words to describe.

I guess Kucinich hasn’t heard of a two-thirds majority…does he really not know why this hasn’t been tried?.

Hey stupid troll, you really didn’t learn anything in your history class, did you. It does not take two thirds to bring Articles of Impeachment, it takes a simple majority. And by the time the House is done trying the criminals getting 2/3 of the Senate to convict will be a cake walk. Any Senator who didn’t vote to convict, once all the evidence was in, would kiss their Senate seat goodby.

Why do the oil companies continue to lease them?

  42. Dr. Hussein Matt Says:

    Tracy5 Says:
You mean all that land that basically doesn’t have any oil or gas underneath? Good think you aren’t a businessman.

No, the 68 million acres that have gone unexplored. Try again…

  43. pete Says:

    Here’s a couple OT’s for the trolls.

    1. Why do U.S. oil companies keep productive land-locked wells capped?

    2. Why don’t U.S. oil companies build new, more efficient, ultimately cheaper refineries despite NEVER HAVING A PERMIT DENIED. Modern refineries, like the best in Europe and Asia, produce only 20-30% the net waste of those currently running in the U.S. They are smaller, cleaner, more efficient and produce a wider range of marketable products.

    3. Can anyone offer a logical answer besides pure, short-sighted, greed?

  44. Dr. Hussein Matt Says:

Tracy5, are you going to post a newsmax link as your encore? Good thing you aren’t intelligent.

  45. McWars Says:

Dr. Matt, this is neither the place nor the time to confuse the troll with facts.

  46. Zooey Says:

Don’t let them trash the thread with their shit!

  47. nycbassist Says:

Ahhh.. Dennis The Menace!!! I love you, man! Please keep showing the spineless democrats the key to getting our country back.

  48. Dr. Hussein Matt Says:

The point is that those who make the claim and insinuate that this land have usable reserves and the the oil companies are just “sitting on them” is totally false.

Don’t let facts and reality stand in the way of your reich-wing propaganda. There are 68 million acres already leased to oil companies that have gone unexplored. Fact. Here is the definition of fact since you reich-wingers have ZERO grasp of this concept.

  49. pete Says:

    4. Why have U.S. oil companies fallen behind foreign efforts in environmental protections, exploration techniques and safeguards?

    5. Why has the U.S. government failed to requires floating, emergency, spill containment on all floating receptacles?

    6. Why are fines allowed to be deferred indefinitely rather than applied as practical solutions to known problems?

  50. McWars Says:

If there’s record of them exploring the land in the first place, why is a senator (I forget his/her name) threatning to push a “use it or lose it” clause?

  51. Fred Says:

  52. Dr. Hussein Matt Says:

    June 18th, 2008 at 8:02 pm

Way off topic, but, inaccurate enough to deserve a response.

While the location of oil can be predicted, it’s kind of a crap-shoot. There is still some doubt until the well is drilled. “Sure things” have come up dry while “desperation holes” have made fortunes. And even “dead eye” predictions can be way off on the actual productivity of a well or field.

The question in unused areas, leased or not, is figuring out where, exactly, the oil is and how much it will cost to extract.

And, while projections are promising, ANWR is largely unexplored. There’s a small chance there are no usable reserves. Pinning down the best places to drill would be a long, expensive search. And, given the climate, I think it’s safe to round up projected costs for extraction and shipping.

Personally, I have no objection to surveying the area for future use but I’ve seen nothing to support contentions that it’s a cause, or cure, for our existing energy crisis. Other domestic sources and CONSERVATION are the best short, and long, term solutions. Maybe w can use the reserves of ANWR to make plastic after we stop burning gas?

Sorry gang. Some lies need squashing even if they’re OT.

  61. Freedom Rebel Says:

It is wonderful to see Dennis has the courage of his convictions to do what is right even when others in Congress disagree.

I wish we could clone about 100 of him and we would never have to worry about Congress ignoring their sworn duties to uphold the Constitution and looking out for the best interest of the constitutients.

What a nice change that would be…

  62. Uosdwis Says:

Maybe Dennis should get together with Bugliosi (BUY HIS BOOK NOW!) and rethink his strategy. Impeachment is called for, but even it were to happen (and Republican senators wouldn’t convict because of..say it with me..9/11), it can’t be the ONLY punishment for deliberately lying America into an illegal war where 4100 troops have died. On the other hand, perhaps it isn’t clear the cowardly, deserting Bush wouldn’t immediately crap his pants and resign just like Nixon if they just announced they are starting hearings. But then, everybody has ignored subpoenas so far, seems to be their M.O.

  63. bentley1 Says:

    To the troublesome trolls:
you really seriously believe drilling on the coast is goingto save you when you fill up your hummer?
HAHAHAHAHA: what naive, gullible, intellectually challenged folks fill up the troll jar on TP.
    Consider:
Florida gets most of their revenue from tourism. I’m sure I’ll
want to run down to Daytona Beach when high tide rolls in gobs of oil along with a few dead fish
Their second highest source of revenue is sales taxes on the working poor.
Go ahead, drill, maybe some rich folks will finally have to pay an income tax, because I really don’t want to sea dead pelicans with my stroll at the ocean
    take care
    tony and Lido

  64. SP Biloxi Says:

And don’t forget Dick Cheney, Dennis. ;)

  65. ForTruth Says:

It is too bad the majority of Representatives and American people are too concerned with satisfying their latest urges related to instant gratification, to be concerned with the real Maverick, Kucinich.

  66. FunMe Says:

    Wow!

    Dennis is fierce.

    Living it and LOVING it!

  67. pete Says:

One must consider that some lawmakers are cautious, or terrified, of what Bushco can still accomplish. “Krazy Denny” is relatively safe as a lone voice. If he starts getting vocal support? His life expectancy, and his supporters, will drastically diminish.

Whether or not any deals have been cut, it’s quite apparent everyone is willing to wait for our own regime change. Assuming Bushco leaves quietly, that may be the best we can hope for.

  68. bogtrotters Says:

Is it any wonder Congress’s approval rating is so dismal? They make chickens look like Spartans. Kucinich being the exception.

  69. freeWilly Says:

Hey #6 Tanqueray, you are either uninformed or toinformed.
Which one is it? I say 2nd. Which would make you complicit to the criminal acts of the goverment.
Here is a quote from Mark Twain: “When a man who is honestly mistaken hears the truth, He will either quit being mistaken
or He will cease to be honest” So again which camp do you support? The HONOR of our country has been stripped and sold.
Maybe we can get some dignity back if we stand up for what we claim to stand for..Dont even ask whom I voted for.I will wear my head in shame the remainder of my life due to my mistake.
    cheers.

  70. abarts Says:

Kucinich would have been a great Democratic Candidate and President elect had the media and their ‘pundolts’ hadn’t wanted a Clinton/Obama battle from the getgo.

  71. pete Says:

WTF does Florida offshore drilling have to do with Articles of Impeachment again?

And just to dash the hopes of trolls, you may want to examine “Congress’s dismal approval ratings”. Democrats who have tried to thwart Bush are doing quite well against potential contenders. Republicans and chuckenhawks, those who have the balls to face humiliating defeat in another election, aren’t doing so well. There’s a pretty sharp divide between the popularity of individual lawmakers and the Congress as a body.

But hey. If “dismal approval ratings” float your hopes? Knock yourself out. Just don’t try pushing that “everything was great until ‘06″ crap. Like all lies it’s only use is as a diagnostic tool.

  72. pete Says:

The whole nation bears that shame, freeWilly, even those who don’t own it. And it will be people like us, with our votes and contributions, who can fix what’s broken. Our system still has so many strengths I think we can reclaim an honorable place among civilized people. But first? We need to take out the trash.

BTW TAnkerRay, turbines (jet engines) run very well on bio-diesel, or just about anything else. Air transport will be one of the last to go. Long after the demise of the conventional automobile.

  73. barfly Says:

    Tanqueray Says:

Oh, I’m sure the tourists will be flocking to Florida when gas and air travel becomes unaffordable, and the people in the N.E are choosing between food they can’t afford or heating oil that they can’t afford. Good luck with that. Do you even think about the world outside of your mommies basement?

Right back at ‘ya - if it becomes too harsh, don’t you think many will consider moving there? And will they just meekly accept that their new home state has been/may be fouled? Not any Americans I know.

  74. freeWilly Says:

pete, our weapon of choice then must be a shovel.
    Truth will the amo..

  75. pete Says:

Shovel or keyboard? The biggest uncertainty in this election, aside from race, is what effect the “Intertubes” will have this time around. It’s a rapidly evolving force in politics that has not been much explored.

And Truth is definitely the best ammo. It’s like kryptonite to these lowlifes.

  76. wizard2000 Says:

When I read that the great American patriot, Dennis Kucinich, was issuing 35 articles of impeachment against George W. Bush, my first thought was, why so few?

Because we all know by now that George W. Bush has committed many more crimes than just 35. And when added to all the crimes committed by Dick Cheney, as well as so many other culture of corruption Republicans in the Bush administration, we could be looking at thousands of impeachable or criminally prosecutable offenses.

So, I have no doubt that Dennis Kucinich will be able to easily expand his list of articles of impeachment against George W. Bush, with the only consideration and possible limitation being how many hours does Dennis Kucinich want to spend reciting them on the House floor, while personally and officially reading them into the Congressional Record.

Kudos to Dennis Kucinich, a true American hero and patriot.

  77. pete Says:

A full list, of Articles of Impeachment, would be the largest volume in Chimpy’s “libary”.

  78. GeorgeM Says:

I got busy this morning and sent the letter below.
    ***
    http://judiciary.house.gov/Contact.aspx

Messrs. Bush and Cheney, abetted by members of their administration, distorted and abused intelligence to commit a national and international crime in the invasion and occupation of Iraq. These crimes have brought us into serious jeopardy as a nation, crippled our military readiness, distorted our global reputation, wasted enormous resources desperately needed at home and, most gravely, resulted in the needless suffering and deaths of hundreds of thousands of men, women and children (American, Iraqis, etc.)

Failure of the Judiciary Committee to move rapidly on Rep. Kucinich’s Articles of Impeachment renders you and your colleagues guilty of being accessories and collaborationists with the crimes alleged, and for which ample evidence exists in the public record, in those articles. It is your duty to fully, openly and swiftly investigate these serious charges of crimes against the American people and the world.

The Bush/Cheney regime has mocked the Constitution, eviscerated Congressional oversight while dramatically expanding the Executive, created the Gulag of Guantanamo (despite a “friendly” Supreme Court rejecting their arguments on the rights of detainees), instituted ineffective and illegal methods of torture as part of our collective practice–and yet this brief list of outrageous and shocking behavior is incomplete.

Messrs. Bush and Cheney should NOT be permitted to escape scrutiny and justice through timidity and inaction on the part of Committee members.

Please undertake your duty to your office and to the citizens of the United States of America. Act with alacrity so that we can restore some semblance of justice and dignity to our nation.

Thank you for your attention. I formally request a response in writing.

Lets support this man not by just wishing him well…but by calling your local elected member of Congress or Senate and telling them to support impeachment or you can count on looking for a new job when there term is up. The GIG is up for the crooks in the WHOROR HOUSE…thats what it has become.
